was wondering if we could get a mta subway route because its frequently asked for and is the largest subway system in the world
DTG have firmly ruled out anything NYC Subway; the operator has point blank refused access to the system or trains for research or recording purposes.
Many user tried suggested this for past months and It goes to the same reason. License issues and security issues. MTA subway stuff will not come to TSW.
Well not really. They are in charge of a rapid transit system carrying 10’s if not 100’s of thousands of passengers a day. Their inviolate first responsibility is the safety of their staff and passengers. If they feel depicting their operations in a train game could directly or indirectly train or encourage some ne’er do well or terrorist to take over a train and put lives in jeopardy, that’s entirely their prerogative to refuse any such simulation. The fact other operators in the area such as Metro North and LIRR (with restrictions) allow it is neither here nor there.
If that was the case then the MTA wouldn't allow Metro-North or LIRR content. The MTA is extremely safety conscious (especially after 9/11 and the hypersensitivity the US has felt to any possible threat since) and they have a hard enough time keeping the system safe on a normal day. I highly doubt they're withholding the subway license as a "power trip".
