I have determined that in practically every service or journey on Sand Patch Grade the player needs to go to the trailing loco and check out the settings. I have found in virtually every case that the engine run and fuel pump control buttons are turned on with the generator button in the middle off. If I am not mistaken all three of these sliders need to be off for proper trailing unit MU operation. I always go to the trailing unit and turn these slider off and make sure the radio and banking comms is on just for good measure.
Well yes and no. Yes, in RL all three should be off. No, in game terms they don't matter, unless you want to perform an engine shutdown. The Generator Field switch is the only important one in TSW. But I still wind up going back there to get the lights set up correctly.
