Could it be a duplicate account that was created by accident? If you re-open the game, is it still level 1? Has it saved your progress, or have you lost that as well? I'm not confident that your levels can be restored. It may be a good idea to visit the Troubleshooting section of the forums, and perhaps submitting a support ticket to DTG.
Hello there. As aeronautic237 has mentioned, you are unable to reset your progress unless you create a new profile. Can you make sure that you have logged into the correct profile, please?
My account has also been reset to lvl1. i unistalled tsw3 a couple weeks ago (lvl 80+ 262hours on steam) and i got early access for tsw4. signed into my DTlive account and said i was lvl1, reinstalled tsw3 and the exact same thing. how hard is it to transfer for account saves across games that use a server based system. already thinking of refunding tsw4 seems all dtg do is mug people off
Unfortunately, profile transfer in this case is not a server-based system, but done locally. You mentioned that you uninstalled TSW3 before installing TSW4, which is not advisable. Could you go to Documents > My Games and ensure that a folder entitled "TrainSimWorld3" is still there?
i have it becuase i just re installed tsw3, the problem with it is i did a fresh windows install (i kept files but the bame was on the os ssd which clearly whiped the save folder) the fact something like this a local folder is just pathetic and should not be a thing for a game like this. then again were talking about dtg who seem to be so unable to do duch simple things to help the player base. The fact that when you sign in to dovetail live and get to the tsw4 page, my profile. it has everything ive done in tsw4(nothing) and tsw3 (alot) so they clearly save it somewhere in a server (clearly all the usless parts of the account and not the main part(LEVEL). and they wonder why there hated so much. Maybe listen to the fans and fix basic things that a compant like this should have
after reinstalling tsw3 my profile is lvl 1. i gave up trying because im never gone get my profile back. still think they should have it as a server based thing like most companies do
I am very sorry, but, as you have said, your profile is probably unrecoverable. Perhaps a server-based approach would be a good idea!
yh its a shame, i know to most people its a pointless level system but still nice to have, maybe they could improve on it somehow, maybe by the level contributing to the mastery items as for me there still broken in tsw4. tried doing the ECML mastery tier unlocked fine, Tier 2 is broken. ive done 2 limbering off and 2 in threes and its only 1/2 and 204/96000km (60 miless) ive driven at least 200miles by now. i just want see them jets flyover
