Hello, I am not usually posting my "insights" on any game, however, I feel like this game deserves it. I will talk about a few topics I think should be talked about. TSW2 UPDATE? I am not going to lie, when I first saw streams from TSW3, I felt like something that should be included as TSW2 and not be a standalone game, couldn't justify paying over 40 EUR for a "slightly" better game. However, this opinion changed when I got my hands on the game. There's SIGNIFICANT progress over TSW2, especially with details and the "immersion". From the graphics themselves to the feel the train has. I am a graphics enthusiast and the feel is just right. USER INTERFACE The user interface in the menu is okay, nothing really to complain about. I hated the first TSW2 UI, but the second version (the current one in TSW2) is better. The only thing I disliked at first, was that the UI in the game itself is exactly the same as TSW2. Could there be at least a "modern" look? Probably yes, but then. It all works and well, if something works, don't change it just for the sake of a change I guess. So that's okay. TRAINS I'm happy with the trains we got in the game. I had all of them already in TSW2, except for ICE1. Honestly, I was afraid they will just port TSW2 models and that's it. But I see improvement in both graphics and sounds. Being in the cabin really feels like I am in the cabin, but more on that in the next part. IMMERSION I think this is the most important part. The game is a simulator, so when I play it I should feel like I drive a train in a world that exists not just as a "setting" for my journey, but as I am part of the world. I played TSW1, TSW2, and other simulators. I am not sure if it's because of the sounds and lighting, however in TSW3 for the first time in TSW, I really feel like I drive a train, not that I play a game. Yes, I would like to see some more immersive stuff like continuos run. But the game just feels right, I look around at the scenery with awe, taking screenshots, loving it, and enjoying it. Not saying TSW2 was bad, I had many hours in it. But it never felt so right like now. BUGS AND GLITCHES As for now, the game has a few glitches. Sometimes I have weird acting eye adaptation, and sometimes passengers' hair looks... very weird. But that are all minor bugs and I am sure they will fix them, maybe even before the release of the game. So far I did not see anything game-breaking. Performance-wise, I can run the game on ultra. When it's raining my FPS drops to 40 FPS, but that's about it. 60 FPS stable, occasional stuttering. (Steam version, DX11 - will try DX12 later) CONCLUSION I do not regret spending my money on the game. I feel like they just made this game right. There isn't any big letdown, nothing to complain about it. Plus I am glad they allow us to use TSW2 addons in there for free. So Dovetail Games, keep it up!
