Once the steam core is tested, and if it works. I would like to see a route with steam somewhere along the N&W's mainline from Norfolk,VA to Petersburg,VA. The route consists of mostly the same type of mallets (class A and Y6) and would allow us to also drive the class J. It has a lot of variety, speed, and power for both freight and passenger services.[IMG]

An N&W steam route would be super cool to have.

Would love to run a J on the mainline, and get her up to speed!

N&W is a must for a vintage steam-era route. For rolling stock, the route should include N&W passenger cars (maybe the Pocahontas or Powhatan Arrow), coal hoppers, other freight cars, and a caboose. Players could handle long coal trains with the A-Class 2-6-6-4s, heavy freights with the Y6b 2-8-8-2s and passengers with the J-Class 4-8-4s. Perhaps the route could add a K1 or K2 Mountain, S1 0-8-0 Switcher, or another steam loco as DLC.

Insert a saddened, exasperated sigh here.
It appears it was demolished in the 60's, the same as other railroad stations and other buildings and the like. Such a shame that the 60's weren't kind to railroad buildings and the rail industry as a whole.

They built a new single platform high level station along the mainline.
