Silberling is the colloquial name for the n-coaches of the Deutsche Bundesbahn, a type of regional passenger coach of which more than 5,000 units were built from 1958 to 1981. Nearly all of the coaches have undergone extensive modernisation – these modernised units are widely known as Mintling, Grünling ("greenling") or Rotling ("redling") after their exterior colours. The term Buntling ("colourfulling") is used to denote refurbished Silberling coaches in general. Quick Facts: n-Wagen (Silberling), Year(s) of manufacture ... Silberling car with 1st and 2nd class sections Origin of the name The term Silberling derives from the coaches' stainless steel body which gave them a unique look during their term of service. Translated it means "silverling" in the English language. Historically, Silberling is a silver coin and widely known from the bible: the thirty pieces of silver (in the German Bible: "30 Silberlinge", Matthew 26,14) Judas obtained for his treason. Excellent idea and this is a former West German Deutsche Bundesbahn Push Pull Coach therefore the game 2nd retro West German train after the DB BR363 which was built as the same time as N-coaches. Not sure if they are actually operated on Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden? If they are then you can substitute the dosto for N-wagen assuming a DB BR146.2 can pull them. Also the Rhein-Ruhr Osten with DB BR143 East German origin.
Yes, I'm down for this. Having the n-Wagen in TSW is a dream. It's used every now and then with the 182 and with the146 in modern days as Substitutional services (E.g. the RB 48 between Wuppertal and Cologne). So it would be 'just' the cab car that needs new modelling. It's either the Wittenberger Steuerwagen or the Karlsruher Kopf. Or having a whole route like HRR with n-Wagen and IC's as an alternative timetable. Instant buy!
Correct but the game needs Wuppertal Steinbeck to Köln Hbf and the Köln Kalk goods yard in order for the N wagen to be added in game with the Main Spessart Bahn DB BR146.2 BR 182 from Hamburg-Lübeck
TSG more or less confirmed they want to do the 218. Though I'm sure it's not feasible for them to also do the n-Wagen with the loco, maybe DTG made them in the meantime and the 218 could be equipped with the n-wagen as in one package.
