Since we are nearing the release of the Riesa-Dresden Route, I've decided to create a video giving details about the route, and talking about what will be included in it when it releases. Hopefully, you find it helpful!
Great summary. One my note: BR 112 will be a substitute. The only layer is BR 101 (25 services). I might be wrong BR o7
The differences between a layer and substitution confuse me, so I just called them all layers. Also, the BR 406 is technically a layer, even if it is included since all players have SKA. In the future, for the players who don't, it will be.
A layer is a section of the timetable on which particular "lines" run, so on BML there may be a London to Brighton layer, a South London to Lewes layer and a commuter layer (and in future a Thameslink one) The substitution comes in where you could have various locos or consists running that service, so swapping out a 66 for a class 60 or a 465 for a 375. In other words more layers gives you more timetable. Substitutions runs the same timetable, but gives you more variety of locos and consists
