    Hello Everyone. I would like to introduce you a line that I would love to have on this magnificent simulator.
    The Cumana and Circumflegrea lines form a unique suburban railway network in Naples, Southern Italy, operated by EAV. Both lines offer two completely different driving experiences within the same metropolitan area — something rarely seen in Train Sim World.
    The Cumana Line is a scenic coastal railway running through the Phlegraean Fields, serving Fuorigrotta, Bagnoli and Pozzuoli. Several sections run close to the sea, delivering impressive coastal scenery, volcanic landscapes and a strong Mediterranean atmosphere. As one of the oldest electric railways in Italy, it combines historical value with modern commuter operations.
    In contrast, the Circumflegrea Line follows an inland suburban route, crossing dense residential areas such as Soccavo, Pianura, Quarto and Licola. It represents pure high-frequency commuter rail, with short station spacing and intense stop-and-go gameplay, ideal for players who enjoy precision and timetable-driven services.
    Both lines are operated using EAV electric multiple units (ETR series), purpose-built for suburban service. These trains feature wide doors, functional interiors and simple but realistic driving cabs, perfectly suited for detailed suburban simulation and busy peak-hour scenarios.
    Stations across both routes are mostly small to medium-sized suburban stations, characterized by short platforms, canopies and a very local atmosphere. On the Cumana, stations such as Bagnoli and Pozzuoli stand out thanks to their coastal setting, while Circumflegrea stations are more utilitarian and embedded in residential neighborhoods. Key hubs like Naples Montesanto and Torregaveta would act as major focal points in-game.

    Naples Montesanto, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Fuorigrotta, Mostra, Edenlandia, Agnano, Bagnoli, Pozzuoli, Arco Felice, Lucrino, Baia, Fusaro, Torregaveta.
    Main stations – Circumflegrea Line:
    Naples Montesanto, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Soccavo, Pianura, La Trencia, Quarto, Quarto Centro, Licola.

    The ET500 is a modern electric multiple unit operated by EAV on suburban railway lines in the Naples metropolitan area, including the Cumana and Circumflegrea lines. It was introduced to replace older rolling stock and to improve comfort, reliability and efficiency on high-frequency commuter services.
    The ET500 features a modern exterior design with a streamlined front and large windows, giving it a distinctive and contemporary look. It is designed for rapid acceleration and braking, which is essential for lines with short distances between stations and frequent stops.
    Inside, the train has a functional suburban layout, with longitudinal seating, wide standing areas and large doors to allow fast passenger boarding and alighting. The cab is modern but relatively simple, making it well suited for realistic suburban driving and timetable-based gameplay.
    The ET500 operates under electric traction and is optimized for dense urban environments. Its combination of modern design, intense commuter operation and operation on both coastal and inland routes makes it a strong candidate for detailed simulation in Train Sim World.

    The ET400 is an electric multiple unit operated by EAV on the suburban railway network of the Naples metropolitan area, most notably on the Cumana and Circumflegrea lines. It represents an older generation of rolling stock compared to the ET500, but it is still widely used in daily commuter service.
    The ET400 has a more traditional and boxy design, typical of Italian suburban EMUs built in the late 20th century. While less modern in appearance, it is known for its robust construction and reliability, making it well suited for intensive stop-and-go operations.
    Inside, the train offers a basic and functional interior, with longitudinal seating, wide vestibules and large doors to handle high passenger volumes during peak hours. The driving cab is analog-heavy, giving it a classic feel that would appeal to players who enjoy more “hands-on” driving experiences.
    Powered by electric traction, the ET400 is optimized for short station spacing and frequent services. Its older technology, combined with dense urban routes, would provide a contrasting and challenging driving experience compared to newer trains, making it an interesting addition to Train Sim World.

    Scusate, ci siamo fraintesi. Volevo solo chiedervi se avete conservato un esemplare di questi treni, ad esempio in un museo. Noi francesi siamo troppo stupidi per farlo, ma gli inglesi spesso conservano un esemplare di ogni tipo di treno...

    Sorry, we misunderstood each other, I was just asking if you had kept one, in a museum for example.
    Us French are too stupid when it comes to preserve our patrimony, but the British almost keep one of each of their trains types.

    I just noticed that people on this forum are very fond of coasts and rivers, as if it were a water obsession instead of a rail obsession with trains.
