Hey everyone i would like to get a second opinion on this,So we already have Ny to Trenton and with the creation of Ny to stamford in progress i was wondering why we couldn’t just get one big run from Trenton to Stamford Is it possible or would that have to be an entirely new DLC? Also maybe later down the line when could we possibly see Ny penn to Boston south? if DTG is adding Bits and pieces of the Nec wouldn’t it just make scene to just make it one big run? I cant wait to hear from you all have a good one
Well if Dovetail is going to consider Gen 8 for this route, (which i pray to god they don’t) that would be an absolute nightmare for the timetable and the amount of services that the route would have. (LIRR, MTA, Amtrak, NJT, CSX) Plus, the version of NY-Trenton uses scenery from TSW 1 so i doubt Dovetail would overhaul all of that scenery. Almost everything would have to be overhauled. Is it possible? 100%. is it to Dovetails best interest? I doubt it. Dovetail does have a timeframe for NY-Stamford so they wouldn’t have the time to begin with.
DTG doesn't have any reason to due to their "Route Hopping" feature, which will most likely be their suggestion on running something from Trenton to Stamford.
I think it would just be too big of a size, but with route hopping you’ll be able to complete an Amtrak run from Trenton to Stamford. It’ll just be broken up by route hopping (can imagine it as a change in engineers and conductors or something like that). Also it would only impact Amtrak since as MetroNorth doesn’t run to Penn just yet and wouldn’t in game since it’s based on 2018 I believe, so there is nothing to connect the 2 other than the handful of Amtrak routes that go passed NYP on either side. Definitely throw it in suggestions though.
Likely a budget issue. Which is often the case when it comes to routes coming out shorter than expected. (Especially when compared to the TSC counterpart routes).
This game needs a good third party creator that focusses on US routes. I fear such projects would only be undertaken by an ambitious third party.
It's a lot more work. First the routes would have to be in the same year. Then they can't just connect 2 routes and call it a day. Timetable needs to be remade if they are different from each other. There are also other things. Then you have to worry about the cost/budget, performance and price for such a massive route.
