    “Added static stock to Newark and Croxton yards as well as some AI freight services across bridges that cross”
    So I’m confused. Are we getting this or not?

    Since as I understand it you own both NYT and TSW4, I had been hoping you would actually be the one to provide an update to all of us hangers-on. If the update to NYT ever comes to TSW3, that is how I plan on playing it. But, as you are fairly clearly one of the top advocates for the improved NYT, and you can now actually play it, what is your take on it?

    I’m still in the process of downloading all the content at the moment on Xbox C. It will probably take a few hours. But will definitely let you know as soon as possible

    It could be like a rare service that is on the map briefly before going off map, so not really having too much of an impact maybe. Had it in the harlem line where there was a rare freight service.

    Same. If the updates does come to TSW3 and is actually good, I might get the route. So looking forward to seeing reviews.

    I have found a strange bug... on NYT and Linke Rheinstrecke missing passengers?! This is sofar the routes that i noticed that... DTG JD DTG Matt Can you check this bug and set it to youre list to fix?!

    After a few runs I think l’mto give some preliminary feedback.
    Good news is Pantographs seemed to be working. I did see one ALPH46 with both pantographs up but that was I one off.
    There seems to be a new bug with AI trains with safety alarms going off. You can hear them as they pass you by.
    The PIS on The NJT trains still only displays “train”
    NJT trains still has no visible driver
    NJT trains tail lights on AI trains still off.
    Still seeing AI trains with doors open while moving. Especially the forward left door on the cab. Sometimes that’s the only I see remain open. To be honest not seeing as many as before,especially since we have more trains.But I still notice it.
    Interior Lights onNJT trains still off during the day.
    Passengers seemed to be non-existing on the route except I do see them on LIRR trains but they just stay on trains.
    Signals is not my expertise so can’t really give any good feedback here. I do notice the new hud does help with the speed reductions. Still getting that slow down to 45 right before north Elizabeth station for no apparent reason.
    I’m Amazed that the signaling has been able to handle all the traffic. Specifically at Secaucus,Penn station, and sunny side.
    Now about that Sunny side loop. That traffic in that area alone has to be the busiest in the entire game. Is madness.
    I don’t know how Joe was able to accomplish this timetable but is like a total new route.
    This is what I have been waiting for since it was first announced. Joe did an amazing job on this and I know he put in months to make this happen. Joe thank you. We really appreciate your passion. Now while the route still has lots of bugs, the timetable brings this back to life. Now hopefully they can concentrate on fixing the bugs.

    I think this was an issue from before. I haven’t played the route in months but I think this is not new. What is new is the AI trains alerter going off non-stop.

    Okay thank you very much. The AI alerter is quite annoying, no doubt. And, if the passengers were never there in the first place, well that's not ideal, but at least they didn't make things worse. However, if the passengers had been removed in the new timetable (whether intentionally or not), and DTG didn't say so beforehand, that would have been... yeah.

    Unfortunately I don't think any of the remaining bugs (or new ones) will ever be fixed. Perhaps in TSW5. Certainly not for TSW3.

    One thing I’m going to warn you, the safety alarms that’s is going off on AI trains is very annoying and that needs to be fixed ASAP. Even if you take over the train from AI, you can’t shut it off.Another issue I notice is NYT on Xbox X ran with stutter on the first drive, after stutter is very minimal. That’s with LIRR layer. On PC, which I have 3070, 64 ram with no LIRR layer yet is stuttering much more than Xbox X. Hopefully it reduces after a couple of more runs.

    There is no solution. You can't just copy over the files since that will result in crashes and more problems. Dtg have contacted Valve and they are working on it

    I saw that there were trains stuck towards NY Penn and 3 other trains standing in line behind the stuck train and the track for free for the stuck amtrak
    saw it with the 7am service towards dover with the alp 46

    That long line of trains on the south tube going to sunny side loop is impressive.it starts around 8:30am and goes almost non-stop to around 12:15

    OK! Just finished my first service (NJT 3868, cab car leading Trenton to NY Penn) with the new timetable.

    The good:
    • The route is ALIVE. Joethefish, BRAVO sir.
    • I play on a Bootcamp partition of a 2019 iMac, so my hardware isn't the best (although I do have like 64GB of RAM), but on my chosen graphics settings and running DX12 I noticed no frame rate drops upon entering NY Penn. And it was busy!
    • Pantographs on A.I. are up. Although, in some cases, both pantos were up--perhaps because of services that reverse on-map (i.e. Jersey Avenue, NY Penn)?
    The bad:
    • No passengers (except on the trains). Platforms are completely barren.
    • Safety alarms from A.I. trains...EXCEPT they stopped as soon as I returned to Free Roam in NY Penn and exited the cab car.
    • Trailing headlights seem to be on...? I was getting light flares on my windshield from trains passing in the opposite direction...even in the tunnels! :o
    • Cab car road numbers still use a fictitious range beyond the prototypical 7000-7061. There are no cab car numbers higher than this IRL. And it's particularly funny because the ALP-46 numbers are strictly limited to the first batch (the non-ALP-46As), so you have the inevitability of seeing the same ALP cab numbers in-game. Personally I'd be much less offended to see the full range of ALP numbers included (4600-4664), but how hard can it be to adjust the range for the cab cars?!
    The ugly:
    • Cab signaling is still a complete mess. Inconsistency with lineside signals, inappropriate progressions (Approach Limited 45 before Cab Speed 80 between Metropark and Rahway?!), the phantom drop to Approach Limited 45 between New Brunswick and Edison is still there (progressing all the way down to a Restricted aspect upon entering Metropark, only to jump right back to Clear as soon as I made the station stop), and the insanely aggressive drops in the tunnel approaching NY Penn remain.
    To be fair, I wasn't expecting the signals to be fixed with this release, and of course, ironically, you can always turn off cab signals and run the route prototypically. The timetable update is brilliant. I expect we'll see a patch sooner than later to address the missing passengers and incessant safety alarms. I will be spending a lot of time with this route in the near future!

  23. has anyone on PC Steam when did there 1st trip (run) on the updated timetable find that micro shutters were very bad snd founded it to better after the 1st run doing the same trip again? if so please let me know im on a high end pc and founded the micro shutter to be the wrose i have ever seen in TSW History
     
  24. okay did a 2nd run and OMG the shutters even with the legend custom engine.ini and -DX12 on is so dam bad its the worse i have ever seen sorry to say but the new timetable stinks no npc's at stations still no lights on the NJT Trains in daytime and many bugs this route is 100% dead to me now
     
  25. so u playin on DX12 do u have it set like this type in the steam settings -dx12 or -DX12 i found that i had micros shutters like crazy on the route worse of all time also im on 3060gigabyte with i7 11700k with 64gb fury beast ddr4 ram sticks (32x2) if u can help that be great i am trying to get to the bottom of my issues with this route after even doing 1st run same issues happened with micro shutters like every 2 secs

    On my PC I had to do about 8 runs on it and now is running close to my Xbox X. I have similar spec to yours on my PC and I had the same issue. As you do more runs it gets better. At least it did on my end. Xbox X ran smooth after the second trip. Go figure

    I'm on my fifth run of the route and so far I haven't noticed any improvement in the stuttering.
    I even just did a service with the Acela leaving Sunnyside Yard, and in the tunnel I received the Unreal 4 error...

    Are you running on PC? To be honest NYT runs better for me on Xbox X. On PC still getting stutters but not as bad a the first few runs. I will continue to do runs today to see if it gets better. I always find Xbox X does handle better the stutter than PC. And my PC cost 6 times as much.

    Just to go over some positives, this update was great for NYT.

    It now really feels the way it should, an NJT corridor as the backdrop for Amtack expresses. Ran an NJT super express last night and was blown away by NewYork Penn, that place is ALIVE. It really outdoes London Victoria in that respect, it is pure mayhem down there & congestion is rife. It is incredible.

    The rest of the route is still busy, a real great aspect of the NJT supers are that you get to take over other NJT services, but you still get buzzed by the Amtrak traffic flying past you. Awesome sensation.

    The other great part is that the ALP 46 finally gets to be shown off, the release timetable undersold this loco massively, which was a shame as new US locos are few & far between. You’re also not forced into doing a 1 hour plus run on this route anymore, there’s plenty of meaningful services ranging from 20 to 90 minutes.

    This is a great show of force for what TSW can really do, there are issues which have been mentioned, but overall it’s routes like this which are shining examples of how bustling these routes really are IRL.

    DTG Matt ,DTG JD. The NJT new timetable is great. It brings this route to life. Now There are bugs that need to be looked at but one in particular at the moment which is driving most of of nuts.The AI trains, (Amtrak and NJT trains ) aleter going off constantly . You can heard them as they pass you by and at stations. I tried taking over services from AI and there’s no way to silence it. It go8ng on constantly.

    What's you're amount of RAM in you're pc? The thing is you need for the normal timetable a lot of ram....

    On my PC I have 48GB of Ram and is only using 16.3GM or 34%
    On my Xbox X NJT runs better at 118 FPS it goes down a bit at Penn.
    Im noticing the performance on PC getting better as I do more runs ,but is not in Par with Xbox X performance

    Yeah that's my point... Paljoss4 has not enough ram to run the full timetable... His pc has 16GB and you already mention that over 16 is running in youre pc already

    Just did a timetable run for the NJ Transit Acela to Woodside yard, but for some reason stuck with a red light not letting me drive there.

    The timetable run is 2100 NY PENN STATION- Sunnyside Yard

    I’m going to try it out. Just remember is an hour long service so probably need to wait awhile to get cleared.
    Well I tried it. Let’s just say is took just over an hour to reach. You don’t get out of the tunnels until 40 minutes into it. you don’t reach the train wash until 951am. And you finish around 1008am. That would suck if you had to to that everyday .

    I even notice that Alerter going off at the train station even with no trains around. After I finish a service at Trenton the alerter starter going off as soon as I stop. The service finish I then went on free roam, which the alerted was still going off. The AI took over, train left the platform and into headed south of Trenton. With no trains at Trenton, the sound of the alerter was still going off as if I was inside the train. It finally clear after I paused the game and in paused it.
     
  43. i have 64gb ram i711700k nzxt cooling system top of the range and 3060gigibyte gpu and still the route is a joke even after 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 so so on runs i can run ECML Smooth as with a few hick ups nothing bad know like this every 2 secs drop to yellow/red

    Yea I hear you. Is flickering on my PC also. On the other hand on my Xbox X runs smooth with no flickering.

    Performance nightmare for me, unfortunately. I've completed well over 10 full runs from end to end, and it's constantly stuttering, freezing for 1-3 seconds about every 5-10 seconds or so, and even (twice) crashing to desktop (in or around NYP). No issue with any other routes and even other routes with busy timetables.

    It's strange as my framerate is almost perfect, so I'd assume it isn't the excessive amount of AI services moving around the route. I'll be having these long stuttering/freezes while my game is at a stable 60fps/16ms. It's an annoyance a lot of the time, but sometimes almost makes the route unplayable.

    i9-9900 @3.6ghz (OC 4.5ghz)
    64gb DDR4 3600 mhz
    NVIDIA RTX 2070
    1TB SSD

    On a positive note, the route comes to life with the services. Other than the performance issues, it's great to see so many other trains out and about. Sadly, I noticed the dispatcher giving up about an hour or two into simulating things in service mode. Trains begin to get infinitely stuck at reds in or around NYP, but thankfully with the sandbox tools, I've been able to remove services stuck at infinite reds, and the timetable continues to catch itself back up.

    Another issue I've been having, which has already been noted above is the loud annoying beeping sound inside every AI service that passes. Lastly, the platforms are all empty, and I don't see passengers getting on or off trains on any station platform except NYP.

    On a good note, pantographs seem to be up and functioning on all trains!

    The 3220 Long Branch - NYP service doesn’t seem possible to complete. the waypoint i have to pass is right in front of a red signal and when i hit the waypoint and stop it prompts me to wait, but while waiting another service moves towards me and to the side and side-swipes me causing the service to fail. I’d have to stop farther back so the collision doesn’t happen, but the waypoint is right in front of that red light…

    i’m guessing i’ll have to purposefully go slow and arrive at the waypoint a minute or two later (since i was a minute early) so the service that collided into me has already passed that point.

    A lot has already been said so I have nothing else to add onto then this time table should have been released in October or wait until November seriously this is pretty sad.

    on the pc version the timetables are almost unplayable. The stutters are horrible.

    It’s hard to figure what could be causing the stuttering .on my pc I’m getting about 100 FPS/12 ms and still shutters. Not as bad as I have seen others but still noticeable. Even when you go on map view and on foot walking around , you see the stuttering. on the Xbox X I’m getting around 118 FPS and the stuttering is less noticeable.the stuttering is there but not as bad as is on my PC.
    also not sure if anyone is having an issue of taking over AI trains. I tried taking over trains but don’t seemed to sometimes be able to release brakes or power handle not doing anything. Not sure if I’m do8ng something wrong. I spawn in the NJT trains on free mode with no issues.
    Can’t complete service 3222 long branch- NY Penn do to AI train (3502 south amboy- NY Penn stuck in the river tunnel. He has a green signal but he doesn’t move. I tried taking over but train doesn’t move. I spawn in on free mode at 8:00am a Newark Penn and that AI train is still just outside the river tunnel. He continues to Penn with no issues. Unfortunately I can’t finish the service even on free mode because the train doesn’t move.

    The environment is PC Steam.
    I'll play around with it briefly and report on what you guys haven't talked about.

    The rear lights of AI vehicles are not lit.
    Abnormal darkness in the cabin, double decker vehicle

    The door abnormality seems to have been improved.
