    Hi jf1963,

With the latest NEC NY Update, you should be showing Build #272.

    Best, Steve

Steve this is very misleading. Public branch is only at 269.

Public Branch is #272 cActUsjUiCe, could you elaborate on why you think it's only 269.

SteamDB scans the depots regularly. And my build number matches the one reported by SteamDB.

No because that is not what I see, not even close.

Go to your library, right click on TSW, properties, local files.

The current content build ID. The first three digits are 269, not 272.

All I see the build ID is 2697844. At this point, it doesn't mean much.

Hmm alright. Seems odd that these build numbers do not match.

Come to think of it, yeah. Does sound misleading from the Build ID in the Steam local folders and the ID from In-game to be different numbers

One could be the internal build number as used by DTG while the other is the build number used by Steam.

To give an example; one of the Android applications I'm responsible for at work is known by Google as build number 47 but the build number seen by the users is 2.5.2. I govern the later using my own system, Google demands the former based on their system.

Right but that is a clear distinction between build numbers. 2697844 and 272 are close when you look at the first three digits only

So 269 is the Steam number? Sounds like the game went through 3 build iterations before being pushed to Steam originally.

The steam build ID has nothing to do with the versions of the game. Its just a number counting up, all games on steam that get a new build in the last days have a 269xxxy build ID.
So If the actual steam build ID of TSW is 2690000 and an other game gets a new build it's 2690001. If TSW then gets a new build it's 2690002 and so on.

The Build number you're referring to is Steam's Build ID and does not correlate to our own Build Number, which is shown in the bottom-right of the Settings Menu in Train Sim World.

So in short, Steam Build has no relations with any other builds in other games, including TSW. Well, that's good to know then.
