I'm trying to setup a loco hauled service in the Tees valley line timetable I'm currently building. I'm trying to imitate the following picture: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stevespears/8928761736/ Current issue is I can't find any coaches that match it. The front coach looks to be a Mk2 BSO, and the only one I can find in TSW is a Spirit of Steam Mk1 Maroon Vacuum braked variant. The other two are most likely Mk2 TSOs, and the only variants we have are the Blackpool and NTP Intercity TSO versions. Am I missing any others? Or am I just going to need to use the intercity TSOs?
They are all Mark One's. First will be a BSK followed by either 2 x TSO or 2 x SK. Unfortunately none of the Mark One fleet has been reskinned into blue and grey and I don't think there is a BSK in the fleet (might be a BSO but only in maroon and crimson/creme).
So these were still Vacuum braked Mk1s? Which do you think is less jarring, Mk2 TSOs with Intercity on them. Or requiring Spirit of steam to use the Mk1 Maroon BSO and TSOs?
This is in the editor. I already have full access to the formation editor. I'm just missing the actual coaches I need existing in the game I think.
I think it has to be blue/grey - maroon is just going to look wrong for that era - so I’d use the Mk2s. It’s not implausible to have Mk2s on such a service.
It's currently got 3 blue and grey intercity mk2s, which seems to be the closest I can currently make it. We really do need some more BR era coaching stock.
I'd actually buy a "gameplay" pack if it added in some of the missing Mk1 and Mk2 coaching stock, including different liveries for them.
