    This idea goes about the commuting line from the Stabling area by Hoofddorp via Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid (South), with a detour via Amsterdam Centraal, Weesp and Almere to Lelystad Centrum. Without the detour, the line is 90 km in total (56 miles). A long part with a lot to build.

    It has the next stations:
    - Hoofddorp (Sprinter)
    - Schiphol Airport (Intercity Direct, Intercity and Sprinter)
    »»Detour

    * Amsterdam Lelylaan (Sprinter)
    * Amsterdam Sloterdijk (high platform) (Sprinter)
    * Amsterdam Centraal (Intercity Direct, Intercity and Sprinter)
    * Amsterdam Muiderpoort (Sprinter)
    * Amsterdam Science Park (Sprinter)
    * Diemen (Sprinter)
    Standard line

    - Amsterdam Zuid (Intercity and Sprinter)
    - Amsterdam RAI (Sprinter, Intercity at some events)
    - Duivendrecht (Sprinter and some Intercitytrains)
    - Diemen Zuid (Sprinter)
    ««From detour

    - Weesp (Sprinter). The intercity overtakes the Sprinter
    - Almere Poort (Sprinter)
    - Almere Muziekwijk (Sprinter)
    - Almere Centrum (Intercity and Sprinter)
    - Almere Parkwijk (Sprinter)
    - Almere Buiten (Sprinter and some Intercitytrains)
    - Almere Oostvaarders (Sprinter)
    - Lelystad Centrum (Intercity and Sprinter)

    The line starts at the beginning of the High-Speed Line to Rotterdam, where trains terminating at Schiphol Airport or Hoofddorp are standing and are cleaned. Via Hoofddorp, the line goes underground and comes through the underground station of Schiphol Airport. When you exit the tunnel, you will drive between the A4 highway lanes. After 3 km (2 miles) the tracks to Amsterdam Central Station divert northwards*.
    When these tracks disappear, the lines from the Amsterdam metro turn up. Together the lines go between the highway to Amsterdam Zuid (South). Here the extra lines from the North-Southline start and leave underground shortly before Amsterdam RAI. For events like the household fair. After the station, the lines leave the metro line, A4 and the line split to Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena and Utrecht Centraal. Then the line arrives at Duivendrecht, underpassing the line from Amsterdam Centraal to Utrecht Centraal and the metro from Amsterdam Centraal to Gein. After the dome, the line goes over the metro line from the city to beside the line. Together they drive to Diemen Zuid, where the metro goes to Gaasperplas en the line drive next to the metro maintenance depot, before merging with the line from Amsterdam Centraal.

    *The line to Amsterdam Centraal drives next to the metro from Amsterdam Zuid heading Lelylaan and Sloterdijk. Just before Sloterdijk the line split and tracks goes heading Zaandam via a platform away from the station itself. Two floors under the tracks other platforms are situated for trains to Zaandam (from Amsterdam Centraal) and Haarlem. Via a curve, the line is next to the terminal station of the metro, Isolatorweg. Then the line merges to the underground tracks from Sloterdijk, with a shunting yard north of the tracks. Then the line is at Amsterdam Centraal. With the IJ next to the station, it is a beautiful station with a lot of tracks and a big station hall with shops. Aside from the Central Station, there are a lot of points to swing the train in every direction. Don't miss NEMO at your right. Before Muiderpoort, the line split to Utrecht leaving southward. Next to the line another shunting and maintenance yard can distract you from Science Park. After Diemen, the line merges with the line from Duivendrecht.

    Together the lines drive to Weesp and after the Amsterdam-Rijnchannel, the station appears. The station has two platform-free tracks, so the intercity trains can overtake the sprinters. Then the line split and merged from a line heading Hilversum (another beautiful line, but it would make the line too big). After crossing Highway A1, the line drives next to the A6 over a bridge to the state of Flevoland. The bridge separates the Gooilake and IJlake. Then the train drive between the first sights of Almere, with Almere Poort station. Often you will see lots of bus-only roads next to or goes under the line. The whole time in Almere, the line a level over the rest of the city.
    After Almere the lines drive next to the Oostvaardersplassen, a big nature reserve with some animals in sight of the line. After, we come to Lelystad Centrum, where some trains drive to Zwolle and further.

    Train services on the line are
    - Intercity: Direct and Eurostar (former Thalys): (Rotterdam,) Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Centraal
    - Intercity: (Den Haag,) Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid, Almere Centrum, Lelystad Centrum (, Zwolle)
    - Intercity: Hoofddorp yard, Schiphol Airport - Amsterdam Zuid, Duivendrecht (, Hilversum)
    - Intercity: (Den Haag,) Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid, Duivendrecht, Almere Centrum, Almere Buiten, Lelystad Centrum
    - Intercity: Amsterdam Centraal, Almere Centrum
    - Intercity: Hoofddorp yard, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid (, Utrecht Centraal & Nijmegen)
    - Intercity: (Den Haag,) Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid (, Utrecht Centraal & Venlo)
    - Sprinter: (Leiden,) Hoofddorp, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Lelylaan, -Sloterdijk, -Centraal, -Muiderpoort, -Science Park, Diemen, Weesp, Almere Poort, -Muziekwijk, -Centrum, -Parkwijk, -Buiten, -Oostvaarders, Lelystad Centrum (, Zwolle)
    - Sprinter: Hoofddorp yard, Hoofddorp, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Lelylaan, -Sloterdijk (side platform) (, Hoorn)
    - Sprinter: Hoofddorp yard, Hoofddorp, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid, Amsterdam RAI, Duivendrecht, Diemen Zuid, Weesp, Almere Poort, -Muziekwijk, -Centrum, -Parkwijk, -Buiten, Almere Oostvaarders
    - Sprinter: Hoofddorp yard, Hoofddorp, Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Lelylaan, -Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Centraal
    - Sprinter: Amsterdam Centraal, -Muiderpoort, -Science Park, Diemen, Weesp (,Hilversum)
    The Intercity Direct drive plus-minus 5 times an hour. The Eurostar (the TGV Duplex with repaint is usable, like on the St. Pancras - Ashford layout) drives mostly once an hour. All other trains drive two times an hour. So the line has a lot of services to use.

    The intercity direct consists of intercity cars between two TRAXX locs. Repaints are in the livery of the game.
    Most of the longer intercity services in this layout are made by the NS ICMm (Intercitymaterieel modern) (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/nederlandse-spoorwegen-intercitymaterieel-ns-icm.29449/)
    For some services also the V-IRM (verlengd interregiomaterieel (extended interregio train)) is used. But too many train types for a layout won't be realised before more Dutch routes are made.
    The sprinter services are made by the SNG (Sprinter nieuwe generatie (Sprinter new generation)) and SLT (Sprinter Light Train). The Creators of the game can deside.

    A very varied route with lots of possibilities. would be good as a base route and later extended to Zwolle maybe. like SEHS but dutch. Watergraafsmeer is always fun to look at the international trains stabled there. could use some layers too like the Traxx and ICE for example.

    Forgotten to tell. Yes, on this line ATB-EG and ATB-VV control the trains. ATB-NG is not in use here.

    with any new territory in TSW: licenses, licenses and more licenses.
    Plus you need competent developers known with the rolling stock, routes and scenery.
    ChrisTrains? Has he ever shown interest in developing for TSW?

    South of the border, Belgian Developer SKTrains is closing store:

    You can get his whole collection for € 100 while the store is still open. Downloads after that date aren't guaranteed.

    Would be a great addition to TSW,
    It would of course need new rolling stock signalling systems, realistic overhead cantenery and track side assets,alot of work to do it justice I think ,but never say never could be a future project

    Since December the timetable has been changed. Now the sprinter from Hoofddorp via Amsterdam Centraal heading Lelystad goes via Amsterdam Zuid. This made the detour through Amsterdam Centraal obsolete. Amsterdam Central Station is a beautiful station that should been added to a route to come, but without the route should be more able to be built in the near future for Train Sim World. As in the route map from February 2025 was told, Dovetail Games wants to build more Dutch routes. The route is quite busy already in landscape and stations.

    All these four intercity trains are driving on this train, but the ICMm and ICNG-B (picture below) are the most common. The sprinter services remains driven by the SLT and SNG.
    upload_2025-2-10_20-58-1.png
    Also, the ICNG has been in service. This 200km/h fast train is the successor of the ICMm and ICRm.

    Some can think that now the line requires an extension to Rotterdam Centraal over the high-speed line, but this 48½ km (30 miles) is too long to be reasonable. Even when here the top speed of 200 km/h (125 mph) can be driven.
    upload_2025-2-11_15-23-38.png
    An extension to the other way to Zwolle is 49,2 km (30,6 miles) long and only suitable for 200 km/h (125 mph) when the ETCS is operational. It only could be a possibility above, because Zwolle is already built for the Zwolle - Groningen line. It also has the stations Dronten and Kampen Zuid.

    Yes, Leipzig - Riesa is a must have. I hope for the future, with also some Italian routes too!

    The Leipzig - Riesa route is another suggestion.

    I support this idea. Also because it overlaps with my own suggestion. :cool:
