I think DTG should consider retexturing the Uk ballast as I think both grey and brown options aren’t entirely accurate. In particular the grey ballast is very dull and brings down the over all feel of a route. Compare these 2 images of South Kenton Even the brown ballast on other routes isn’t accurate. But then compare it to the ballast mod (GOBLIN) I don’t expect DTG to use or recreate this mod but if they could recolour the ballast it would go along way in making routes look and feel a lot better don’t you think?
I heavily agree with this change because even looking at the ballast on TSC, it looks way better and compliments their routes really well. The dull color and poorly textured ballast in TSW brings down a ton of routes no matter how good the trackside scenery may be. However, if they ever were to make this change, let's hope it is executed well without plummeting optimization which is already an issue.
