I am been working on my own historical South East London network with the assistance of Google overlay. This is a new project about 2 weeks old, so far I have only done Charing Cross to Metropolitan Jn. Up to today, all was working a treat. Somehow the whole network has shifted. Now when I load the route, and use Google overlay, the map is of Guildford. The longitude and latitude are indeed for Guildford, so Google is showing the correct map for the co-ordinates, some how the layout has shifted. As a check, when I enter the co-ordinates for Charing Cross and jump to them. The overlay correctly shows the area, but of course now my track and scenery is about 30 miles away. This is probably not a coincidence, but I have been using Portsmouth direct line assets as the starting point for my scenery, which when you start the editor for it, you start at Guildford. Unfortunately, being dumb I have no created a separate backup! However no big deal as I've only done 2 miles and if I have to restart so be it. Any suggestions as to a) restore the network to the original co-ordinates? b) what caused it to shift? c) how to prevent future shifts?
