Inside the train as a passenger pov camera like you could in TS button 5 if I remember correctly. You could also switch it to another coach too.
Can’t drive, look at track monitor for signals, acknowledge safety system alerts, can’t slow to come into a station - maybe nice to do from passenger POV once in a while. Would be interested to know what happened to this camera option and the fast free cam too - DTG Matt Can you shed any light on this please? Could their reinstatement be considered please? Thank you
Passenger view has never been a feature of TSW, it doesn't really fit with the mechanics - but I'll explore if there's an option for it with the team and see what could be done there. Fast camera on console was simply due to remapping of controls meaning the function got lost, it was better than nothing but wasnt ideal even as it was as you still couldnt get fast enough for the high speed trains so I'm looking at options for a more well rounded solution there. Matt.
Both used to be options - a shame it's changed. Personally, I love hearing the azuma motor sound switch. You have to be in the passenger areas for that, but I don't want to leave the cab. Especially given the sections around Grantham with the invisible barriers that can eject you from the train unless you are sat in a seat. Much safer not to leave the driver seat.
I agree, sometimes I would like to drive the train and view from the passenger perspective at the same time
Are you talking about the change to immersion controls in TSW2 or can you explain what was remapped with the classic controls in TSW4 that required removal of the fast camera? The left stick doesn't serve any other camera function that I can see, and it's still listed in the controller mapping graphic as (Hold) Speed up Camera, but doesn't function.
how about the possibility of making a front nose, forward facing, external camera view an a toggleable option sometime? it's the only way i drive every single train on every single route in the entire game, it's essentially the same view you'd get from the cab looking out, but without the cab itself obscuring the forward facing view. i have to set this up manually every single time i play the game.. i would love to see this become a built in option to choose, it would probably be the single most significant improvement that could be made to the game play from my own personal perspective. is this something that you would consider making a reality sometime Matt? thank you! Katia
Yeah just to avoid the time required to position that camera every time would be a nice thing, but not having my camera bounce around like crazy in tunnels would be a godsend
really appreciate that Matt thank you, look forward to seeing if you can do anything on this, would be amazing if you can!
