If I was to transfer from my xbox one s to a series s would my profile stay the same or would I need to buy all dlc again
As long as you use the same Xbox Live account, you can use everything you had on the One S on SeriesS
You can do a straight transfer from Xbox One to Series S when you set up your new console (if you're on the same network). As above, as long as you're on the same Dovetail account, you'll not need to buy anything you currently own. Note - the transfer does work perfectly, but then it prompts you to download 'upgrades' for every dlc you own, which can take some time. It also takes up a fair chunk of the storage space, depending on how many DLCs you own - I own quite a few routes and it tops out at about 88GB (of the available 360-ish GB available on the console).
