Good evening everyone. I create this thread to propose the introduction of nuclear fuel transport by rail, as an additional activity on the routes. This would see the introduction of FNA-C/D and KUA shielded carriages, together with a possible diesel locomotive: Class 37, 68, 66 etc...
I hope you like the idea!

Yes, more or less. It would be interesting to add variety to the freight on routes (as it was for RHTT). It would be a small DLC, with a new locomotive and some reskins (including the necessary carriages). I think that all the rolling stock must be DRS, since these kind of "slightly special" transports are carried out only by DRS.
Let's just hope that a Class 46 doesn't crash into one of them :-(

We need a good route for this. I'd say Carlisle - Sellafield or even Barrow/Preston if possible. That would make a very fair route however I am not sure whether the nuclear power plant needs like a license or something

Just don't mention Sellafield Ltd in any aspect of the simulation... After all, flasks unloading takes place right near the perimeter of the facility. I don't know if this is potentially illegal by not mentioning the company. In fact, it's a public company operating in a sensitive security field...
And with the decommissioning of many nuclear plants I think the traffic of nuclear flasks is quite high.
