    Dear Dovetail Games team,

I’m a long-time Train Sim World (since TSW4) fan from Ireland, and with the upcoming TSW6, I’d love to suggest a route that could both expand the series geographically and offer exciting new gameplay opportunities. Ireland has never been represented in TSW, and I believe a route covering the Greater Dublin Rail Network — including Drogheda to Wicklow and all surrounding branches — would be the perfect way to change that.

    ---

Route Proposal: Drogheda to Wicklow + All Dublin Branches

A full Irish commuter and intercity network with diverse gameplay potential:

    Core Mainline:

Drogheda to Wicklow, serving key city stations like Dublin Connolly, Pearse, Bray, and Greystones

Covers the full electrified DART corridor from Howth/Malahide to Greystones

    Included Branches:

Maynooth Line – Diesel commuter traffic from Connolly to Maynooth

Hazelhatch & Celbridge Line – From Heuston via Park West, including the Inchicore Works depot

Docklands Branch / North Wall Yard – For freight access and industrial shunting

Grand Canal Dock Loop – DART movements and stabling

    ---

    Major Stations

Connolly, Pearse, Tara Street, Grand Canal Dock, Bray, Greystones, Heuston, Docklands, Howth Junction, Malahide, Howth, Maynooth, Hazelhatch, and more. (Full DART station list available online if needed.)

    ---

    Rolling Stock to Include

    In the Base Route:

New Alstom DART EMU (X’trapolis Class – entering Irish service soon)

    Classic 8500 / 8600 / 8700 DART Units

    IÉ Class 22000 InterCity Railcars

    Class 29000 Commuter DMUs

IÉ Class 071 Locomotive with Tara Mines zinc ore wagons

    Optional DLC:

Enterprise Train – Class 201 locomotive + De Dietrich coaches, operating between Dublin Connolly and Drogheda (or as AI traffic, with potential to drive once purchased)

This adds premium InterCity value without requiring any Northern Ireland content

    ---

    New & Existing Gameplay Modes

This route is ideal for showing off both core and newly introduced modes:

Driver Mode – DART, commuter, intercity, and freight services

Conductor Mode – Especially immersive on DART services with frequent stops

Engineer Mode (NEW) – Inspect, repair, and shunt stock at Inchicore Works or North Wall or the DART depot at Clontarf/Fairview.

Signaller Mode (NEW) – Manage routing across Dublin’s complex junctions and terminals

    ---

✨ Extra Features to Support This Route

Every AI layer should appear, even if the player doesn’t own the DLC — AI-only until purchased

Livery Editor support for custom formations, not just repaints

Modern graphics presets (Performance, HD, and 4K/Cinematic modes)

Dense rush hour timetables, PIS integration, platform announcements, and accurate signage

    ---

    Why This Route?

Ireland has never been featured in Train Sim World — this would be a first

The Dublin network blends electrics, diesels, freight, intercity, and depot ops in one map

It supports new gameplay systems like Engineer and Signaller

The Enterprise train adds international-class prestige to the roster

Would be hugely popular among Irish and global rail fans

    ---

Thank you for everything you’ve done with Train Sim World. The Greater Dublin rail network would be a fresh, diverse, and feature-rich addition to the game, and I truly hope you’ll consider bringing it to life in TSW6. I also understand that you do have licensing agreements but I hope that some of what I've said gets across to you and your team. Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Andrew

Also to add to my list, I would love to see the Dublin to Cork train added. All I know is that its using the CAF Mark 4 if that makes sense.

Think you will have a long wait chap. Only MSTS ever got a payware Irish route, 18 years of TSC and no one made one for that platform. Never say never and believe me I would love to see something set back in the old loco hauled era, but I can't see DTG taking it on as a viable in house project nor any of the current payware third parties.
