I have just purchased a dedicated gaming machine because the game became too large for the laptop I was using. I have downloaded Steam and I'm almost finished downloading TSW4. But, I believe I start off as a newbie again. Held do I transfer my previous gameplay from my old laptop onto my new computer. Many thanks for all answers forthcoming.
I don’t use Steam for TSW, but I would assume the game supports the Steam Cloud save system, so try Googling that, to get the save from your laptop to your desktop, then sign into TSW with your Dovetail account to get your driver level.
You can find your save games and settings in the following directory: C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld4\Saved
TSW has no cloud, profile, save games and settings are saved locally on the PC. Unless you use OneDrive or a similar cloud service to synchronize local files between different systems.
Dont you sign into to DTG live account at the start and it should bring your progress over to the new game?
Nope, DTL only saves Mastery progress, Community Rewards and DTL screenshots. It also tracks all your journeys in a driver logbook. DTL has nothing to do with ingame profiles, save games and settings, these files are only saved locally on drive C:\ This has already caused many people to lose their progress because they have reinstalled their Windows and have not created any backups.
