New Members With # In Their Name?

    Are they all bots?
    They seem to be xxxx#1234...Or is it a new way of naming yourself on messageboards nowadays and I am feeling old sort of thing?

    I think its the new thing nowadays. If you are a new user to a forum or even on Xbox, you will be assigned a number. This also happens when you are creating a new Gamertag on Xbox. Don't know why this has been introduced though.

    In simple terms though, these people aren't bots.

    They have all signed up in the last month? All have abcdefg#123456 configuration in their names?

    Yeah, So if you were to sign up after they introduced this number thingymajig then you will have a number next to your forum name.

    I feel lucky not having to lug around #xxxx after my beautiful name.

    DTG Natster Is it possible for those people to ask to get the numbers removed, or is it part of the functioning of the site itself? (Sorry for the tag)

    I think those users are using the combined login from the Dovetail Live system. If you go to where your Logbook is, the username has #1234 after the username.

    #1234 was used as a example and could be any combination of numbers.
