I am in the process of creating new timetables for the Metrolink routes, making use of the all the equipment we have available, and based on the October 2024 timetables which saw a shift from commuter based schedules to more all-day regional rail operations.
Well I am well versed in Metrolink and Amtrak operations in SoCal, I am less knowledgeable in freight operations, so I would love to gain some insight on this if anyone more local has any info.

The first timetable I have nearing completion is a weekend timetable for the Antelope Valley line, which already has a full Metrolink service across all lines, as well as Amtrak Surfliner service (using F125s with Amfleets and Metroliner cab cars for now).

I have also included the Speedway specials as seen in the existing SBD weekend timetable, also with a reversed set as seen there. This run only stops at Burbank Downtown, Sylmar / San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Lancaster as per real life, and the LA - Lancaster run has some unique meeting points with other Metrolink runs such as at Ravenna.

I would love to add a decent freight selection into this timetable to make it feel a lot more busy, and have been thinking about increasing the freight service frequencies higher than real life to make the route feel more busy between passenger runs - so if anyone has info on how UP operates along the AVL that would be a great help.

Here are a few screens from the AV weekend timetable - I have also updated the PIS display on the SBD Metrolink stock to stop scrolling and show four digit numbers (as needed with the new weekend trains) and expanded the station directory on the AVL to show all required destinations.
