Hey guys, welcome back to another Route Suggestion. Today we’re looking at New Mexico Rail Runner Express, a commuter railroad which travels through the canyons and creek of New Mexico's high desert scenery. New Mexico Commuter Rail Founded in 2006, New Mexico Rail Runner Express is a commuter railroad owned by New Mexico Department of Transportation, which travels from Santa Fe to Albuquerque in Belen. The trains travel at 79 mph. New Mexico Rail Runner has a fleet of 9 MP36PH-3Cs and 22 Bombardier Bi-Level cars. The route The route from Santa Fe to Belen is 96.5 miles and makes 15 stops along the line. Loco info MP36PH-3C Manufacturer: MPI Build date: 2003 Length: 60ft Owned: 9 Numbers: 101-109 Entered NMRX Service: 2005 (101-105), 2008 (106-109) Horse Power: 3,600 Top Speed: 82-102mph Bombardier Bi-Level Cab Car Conclusion I think this would be a great addition to Train Sim World 4 especially because of its spectacular desert scenery. But thank you guys for reading this. I hope you enjoyed.
Rolling Stock is reskinned version of the Caltrain MP36-C door chime is the Taurus train length Roadrunner. Excellent idea overall furthermore you have the high-speed section of Cajon Pass combined with Antelope Valley commuter run
The Rail Runner also shares tracks with the BNSF RR. This route should include a couple of new BNSF diesels, in addition to the MP36PH-3C and Cab Car. My suggestions (all of which could also be run on Cajon Pass): -BNSF ET44C4/ET44C6H: The newer GEVOs should be added to the game. -BNSF C44-9W: BNSF rosters a lot of these older mid to late 1990s-era diesels (like almost 1800 of them). These should be included in the base NM Rail Runner Route. -BNSF B40-8W: For yard and local freight operations -BNSF GP60: Also for yard and local freight operations; BNSF has GP60Ms (rebuilt as GP60M-3s), GP60 Spartan Cab units, and GP60Bs; at least the GP60M-3 and/or GP60 should be included. Interesting fact: the door closing sound resembles the Road Runner (of Looney Toons fame) "Beep Beep" sound. That sound should be included if this route is made.
BNSF doesn't send freight over Raton Pass anymore, so adding freight here would only be seen on the Southern end of the route between Albuquerque and Belen. And most mainline freight is seen in Belen only. No point in adding them to the route, just layer stuff from Cajon.
