Hey all. I recently decided to grab the free Train sim 6 upgrade pack on steam, just so I would have it, even though I have no previous Train Sim World 6 content. From the information it seems its the full game, but comes without routes and trains.

I've been watching a few videos, and even decided to pull out my Honeycomb Throttle Quadrant and set it up for trains using Cobra's Raildriver Joystick mod.

As a UK player, i'm mostly interested in UK routes to start with, and checking out the total DLC price, it became apparent immediately that this was a hobby I should definitely avoid.... but I have my throttle quadrant set up now and i've already put my box back in the cupboard so I guess there's just no turning back!.

    So questions!
    1. I noticed in previous versions you could buy UK packs that came with Train sim world versions. If I was to buy one of these packs, would the DLC now transfer over to train sim world 6, even though the time limit has expired or do I now need to buy the full game?

    2. I see the term layers a lot. I guess this refers to how DLC interact with each other. So one DLC may use time tables/trains from other packs? Is there a way either in or out of game that better lets me see what layers connect to what? I'm not a train enthusiast so I can't just look at routes and go "Oh yes, that will be part of that!".

    3. Are sales worth waiting for? Are there big discounts? And are there any places you guys go to grab DLC outside of Steam (Im PC only, and will be playing via Steam).

    4. If I enjoy the game(I have no doubts I will) are there any mods I should grab?

Lastly, I just want to apologize as i'm sure these topics are already covered, but I tried searching the forum for purchasing old dlc and I just got posts about how they should be reduced in cost.

Any advice, or additional info you feel the need to add, I will be happy to read and take 'on board'. Appreciate any help with the above, and thank you in advance.
