Kystbanen - Copenhagen - Helsingør & Holte These lines in the snowy Scandinavian country of Denmark span for 69.9 kilometers (or 43.4 miles) from Københavns Hovedbanegård (Cøpenhagens central station) via Denmark’s regionaltog, operated by DSB, up to the wintery and cozy large town of Helsingør, sitting on the Baltic Sea, sitting right across the pond from its Swedish counterpart Helsingborg. On a branch splitting off, the commuter rail “S-Tog“ that carries over 100 million passengers each year, services and rides to the lakeside town of Holte in the Copenhagen suburbs. These lines take part in one of Denmark’s and Scandinavia’s busiest routes for rail. It’s simple. This is a whole new rail system for TSW and Dovetail to explore filled with unique trains like the IC3 and S-Train in which provide a unique player experience compared to other routes in the game. But it’s more than just the rail. It provides never seen before experience for the player in TSW since it’s in a new, never-seen-before nation. The weather is completely different: normally cold, icy, and snowy throughout the winter seasons with warm weather with a slight chill in the summer seasons, leading to new challenges and new experiences. The whole scenery of Denmark has never been seen before in TSW, let alone TSC for all I know. It’s filled with colorful houses, biking lanes, weird food, and large amounts of lush greenery as you race along the Baltic coast. Think about the repetitiveness of the other routes too: I understand that the UK, US, and Germany possess the largest fan base so they would be catered more to, but recently, it’s become rinse and repeat in a lot of places. Take the Pfalzische Mannheim - Ludwigshafen route for example. Dovetail and TSW reused the same rolling stock from older generation routes with no modifications and placed in on this route, expecting an incredibly welcomed addition to the game. While the routes scenery is high quality, it gets dragged down much by the lack of uniqueness, even being really similar to other routes in a lot of cases, which resulted in many mixed (but more negative) reviews on the route. Plus, look at how the Dutch route did recently. It was made in high quality, and proved to be a success with critically acclaiming reviews and large amounts of sales. Kystbanen will bring the same feelings as the Dutch route if executed as well as that route. It will produce a fresh, vibrant, and overall unique experience to TSW with brand new scenery, rail systems, and completely unseen trains to use. No repetitiveness available as it’s all completely brand new. After all, this is Train Sim World, and not Train Sim UK, US, & Germany.
