I keep not seeing a mention of this one little thing in various updates on plans for TSW3, the way that every single route other than SKW, SEHS and CJP is always flagged as "New". I know it's a minor niggle, but it makes it a nuisance every time something like NTB comes out, and just in general it makes it harder to make out the names of individual routes with the bright yellow banners covering the whole screen. It can't be that much of a job to fix, can it? Even if it's particularly awkward, is there not a way to just disable it altogether for the time being, like was done with saves at launch?
If they can't change something simple like light grey being a "highlight" colour, I don't hold out hope for any other UI improvements.
It’s not a minor issue this. But what we know from experience is that hardly any changes come to the UI after player feedback. It is how it is and will remain so until the next iteration of the UI which will come with the summer update later this year, in autumn (running gag). The new UI error that’s been introduced with the add-ons manager where the end point of services is shown in the mini map instead of the start point as before will probably also remain unchanged until then at least. The ‘new’ banner covers up part of the loco picture which is probably the most annoying part of it and that is just a bad design choice and as it is emblazoned on every piece of content it really stands out. The extra bit of good news is that after the add-ons manager was released on PS5, even SKW, SEHS and Cajon joined the ranks of ‘new’ routes, so at least they all match now.
