Since the WSR is getting an overhaul (if you will) and none of the steam locos are from the home fleet and most if not every time the home fleet appear in the gala. Many people in the community are begging for GWR steam engines and I think this would be the perfect opportunity to include some in. Last time we paid for the BR class 33 and 52. So I propose Home Fleet 7828 ‘Odney Manor’ ‘The loco spent most of its 15 year B.R. career on the Cambrian. It then went to the Barry Yard before being purchased by Mr Ken Ryder and it moved to the WSR from the East Lancs Railway in the 1990’s. Mr Rtder subsequently sold it to the WSR and it is approaching the end of a heavy overhaul. 7828 was known throughout its mainline and earlier WSR career as "Odney Manor” but in 2011 was named "Norton Manor” in honour of the base of 40 Commando which is the neighbour of the line at Norton Fitzwarren. Just to confuse things the original plans for the class included extra locomotives and the never-built 7830 was due to be named "Norton Manor”.’ 7828 is one of the WSR’s home fleet 9351 9351 was previously numbered 5193 and last visited the Severn Valley Railway in 2005. The original locomotive was built in 1934 and was initially allocated to Stourbridge Junction, a short stone's throw from the SVR HQ at Kidderminster. That was some locos from the home fleet and now my recommendations for some Visiting Engines 61306 ‘Mayflower’ Mayflower was built in 1948 by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow and for British Railways' Eastern Region. It work in the Hull and Bradford areas before being withdrawn from service in September 1967. It was immediately bought by preservationists and based at Carnforth in the 1970’s. Flying Scotsman looks lonely as the only Eastern loco Mayflower although was built 25 years after Flying Scotsman Mayflower can also layer onto other modern route 7714 7714 was built in 1930 by Kerr, Stuart at Stoke on Trent. It was based at Birkenhead when the railways were nationalised in 1948 and remained there until in moved to Wrexham Rhosddu in December 1958 but was withdrawn from service shortly afterwards in January 1959. A GWR pannier has been requested many times Many more steam locos could come to WSR like some southern steam engines Like a GWR Hall
Gotta say, very interesting suggestions actually. I do quite like when these historic trains are simulated in game so everyone can experience it. Of course the steam physics are a little off as of right now, I'd be happy to see these come to the game.
We definitely need more steam Locomotives and this would be the perfect opportunity to add it in.aswell as it being a free update it would make sense for them to add in some paid content.
Last week Alex posted saying next week so this week. Tuesday seems a good pick (normally the releaseday), but there's a stream on Thursday so it could release then
