Needs a lot more than just a sentence. Some details of routes and types are the bare minimum required. Some members won't be familiar with LUL or the trains used by them.
I assume you’re talking about the new Piccadilly line stock, they won’t be coming any time soon as they aren’t even in service yet. They’re scheduled for 2025.
Considering Piccadilly was said to be the alternative option to Bakerloo, with Bakerloo coming out as the winner in that, i would guess Piccadilly would be the next underground route, probably with the older stock (1973 I think it’s called), though if the route hasn’t changed much the newer stock could go on a separate timetable for the route as a loco addon.
Picadilly would still be incredible as it offers a variety of services however I would prefer Central and District lines but that is just my personal opinion.
I wouldn’t mind the order of release, I’d probably want to pick up the whole underground network tbh, so I wouldn’t mind which came first.
The whole underground network would be the dream for me. It is the best transport network in the world in my opinion. However, that could be an unfair bias.
Bias probably comes into it lol. I would love to see the whole ECML (including branches)! Bias certainly comes into that for me.
We all have our favourites, another deep-level tube line wouldn't be my preferred option. If DTG have a choice of TfL routes under licence then I'd want to see the North East London routes from Liverpool Street, Crossrail, North London Line or one of the sub-surface lines. Piccadilly with only tube stock would feel a bit weird on the sections that are shared with the District and Metropolitan lines.
Why not make it for both Piccadilly and Bakerloo line. For the existing Bakerloo line you get a 2025-2030 timetable with the existing rolling stock and this one alternating
Not much open air running, only Morden south of the river. Gets a bit dull sitting in single track tunnels all that time. I could cope with the Piccadilly or Central Lines but not Northern or Victoria.
Less than the Bakerloo Line. Here's a map of outdoor Underground stations. It's fairly old but you get the idea.
Though there isn't a map for Underground Lines running though countryside, the Central north of Debden and Metropolitan north west of Rickmansworth is countryside between stops, which can seem a bit weird. I remember getting a 1962 tube stock from Leytonstone to North Weald and it just feels wrong seeing farms from a tube train.
North Weald is no longer part of the Central line but part of the Ongar railway. North of Debden is very attractive particularly around Theydon Bois. The Metropolitan and Central would be incredible.
The sub- surface line would be great. I respect your comments regarding the deep level tube lines and it makes sense. In my opinion, any London Underground route would be the most ideal
Yes, I know. But it was a definitely a Central Line train at the time because I'm old and rode it several times in my youth. And just like with the IOW line, it just feels odd sitting in a tiny tube train looking out at beautiful countryside. It's a cracking little preserved line too, it suits it better than being a tube line, if you catch my drift. It's so good it survived after London Underground decided to withdraw the service.
I live around 25 minutes drive from Ongar Station and it is a picturesque market town which is home to a rather peculiar Ongar railway. I totally agree with your comment about the railway and it is great to see the evolution of trains
I would love to see modern TFL rolling stock as I believe that the Aventras were incredible and would love to see the new S7/S8 stocks
the pic would be cool with the 1973 or 2024 stock ( they could do both but one as loco add-on. but with dovetail wanting to do routes with route hopping I thing they would do the H&C as it links up 6 routes
