First of all: It's a very nice loco, complex but fun. The route is also very nice. But there are some issues: It stutters way more than other route's I have. And sometimes the headlights just don't work. It's playable but could be much better. For this price I expect a more polished experience. Happy driving!
Outside the station areas the stuttering improves. I think the devs caution about this in the manual and suggest turning settings down a bit, had to do that with the JT Metropolitan Line and possibly the New Zealand route. I found you have to set the headlights on "2", via the HUD as "H" didn't seem to work. I have already mentioned in one of the other threads that having a blanket 110 km/h speed limit rather than the correct track speeds shown on the "Timetable" is going to mislead the unaware. Maximum speed on those curves and gradients is around 70 km/h. I also have an issue with the loco engine idle sound, it is too loud and drowns out the track audio when coasting and seems to still play and compete with the traction sounds when under power. As you say the route and loco/stock are very nice otherwise. Hopefully all these issues will be addressed and at least the developer is listening to the feedback.
Hello dear Train Community. Thanks for these feedbacks. We do take note of the problems you mentioned and the points you want to be improved (especially 110 km/h track speed confusion, low FPS due to dynamic lighting, performance issues etc.) and we are going to try to fix all of them.
como98ly Sometimes headlights don't work because, yeah cliche but it is exactly a "it is not a bug, it's a feature!" thing. I figure you meant the little signal lights, right? Many DE 24000's have those lights dead because the lack of maintenance and some other problems like extreme heats, being struck by stones and branches. I tried to simulate this real life thing in the game, so randomly one or both of them can be gone while you are driving.
