I have come across a rather brilliant and full-functionality TGV 2N2 (EuroDuplex). Developed by a plethora of French TrainSim community users, it is being released in 3 phases. The present 1st phase includes 3UF and 3UFC variants (both operating only within France), phase 2 which I'm told will be soon, will be 3UH for Spain, and phase 3 will be the 3UA variant for Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The modelling is pretty good - perhaps not up to DTG standards, there are a few issues with the livery around the nose cone and the blind in the cab is low texture, but the cab itself is done extremely well. The functionality and sound of the drivers' cab is what the real attraction here is - it is possibly the most complex train ever brought to Train Simulator and the interior sounds are rich and detailed. The manual (nearly 50 pages long) requires several reads to understand and the train itself is very complex to drive, but rewarding. Highly recommended - available for free (or it was last night) at RWCentral. I've attached a translated copy of the manual too. https://www.rwcentral.com/files/file/672-tgv-2n2/
This looks interesting - I will have to wait until somebody does a QWERTY input mapper file for this unit. It does not say what liveries the units come in and I assume it will work with the DTG TVM as used on Lyon - Marseille?
It does NOT work with the DTG TVM, but there is a minor route update to replace the TVM on the route to allow it to work, you can find that here - https://www.railsim-fr.com/forum/in...gv-méditerranée-lgv-rhône-alpes-par-dylan-v1/ Livery wise, there is the standard Carmillon, there's the Oceane, and several special liveries. I have a QWERTY keyboard, and find 99% of the keys work for me - anything that doesn't work I can use with the mouse.
QWERTY wise I can also use the keyboard but it is remembering that you have you use different keys for some tasks. Hence a modified input mapper file is preferred. If I modify the DTG route to this other TVM I would not be able to run another stock on the route BB22200 or any other loco/train fitted with TVM Yes I could Clone the DTG route to run this train but this new TGV would be the only type of train on the route Peter
I came across this a few weeks ago and found myself having a lot of fun with it!! It's nice to hear 2 more phases are coming, definitely looking forward.
