Just released the first version on Trainsimcommunity! https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...ons/i4042-tees-valley-line-new-timetable-1989 This is a new timetable for Tees Valley Line. It’s set in 1989 like the original, but includes new rolling stock from the new Blackpool Branches route. The passenger services are based off the 1989 British Rail timetable, I’ve matched their timings where possible, but some had to be shifted slightly. Freight is currently logical, but isn’t built off the 1989 WTT for the area. I did receive a copy of this after finishing my freight, and do plan to implement it for the freight in a future release. Known Issues: Occasionally it seems the pacers/101 can begin a service shut down, even if an AI was just driving it. In this instance you’ll just need to start them up (both very easy to do) if you are unable to move. The DMU timetable is EXTREMELY difficult to be on time with. If you do not drive it perfectly, you will be late, and probably late regardless. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the route length, inaccurate speed limites, or the performance of the DMUs is worse than reality. But the 101 and the 142 are just physically incapable of keeping up with the real 1989 Tees Valley Timetable. The AI is unable to keep it up as well, so the scoring does keep that in mind generally. 2D29 – had to be shifted several minutes forward, so no longer matches the official timetable. The required content for the new timetable: Tees Valley Line Blackpool Branches (Class 142, Class 47) Class 31 DLC Class 20 DLC Credits: Huge thanks to the following people, without their help this wouldn’t be working at all: DTG Matt– Helped with some issues with the editor at the start, would not have progressed at all without his help. Cool! I've got Tees Valley Line through Humble Bundle and I haven't been able to complete a single service as I've found it very dull... but with a busier and more accurate timetable, I can see it becoming a lot of fun. Glad I could be of help and super happy to see your progress!
So slowly working through adding freight. It takes a lot longer to add than passenger services. Up to 111 playable services now.
Very interested in this because TVL along with NTP are my favourite routes. I’ve had most fun with TVL by setting up my own scenarios which are much busier than the original timetables so an alternative version with more interesting and varied services will be very welcome.
I wasn't able to find a WTT no. I'm just starting them at points when they aren't going to conflict with the passenger traffic. And using the default timetable to get a rough idea of where they are going. If anyone has any freight info for 1989, that would be great. Timings, destinations and consists would be very welcome. I'm mostly sticking with Coke, Steel and Cement currently. As I know where to and where from those travel.
The 1994 WTTs are publicly available - it may be worth asking around other rail forums for information on how similar or different freight workings in the area were between 1989 and 1994.
Just checking in, it's coming along well. Been grappling with substitution the last few days, but think I mostly have it working. Currently there are 131 playable services, and I'm aiming for at least the same as the default timetable (151) for the initial release. These are the current selectable trains for the timetable: I'm planning on including some railtour options to allow some of the older BR diesels to get some very limited use. If anyone would like to do some testing this weekend please send me a PM. All I'd need you to do is play the new timetable and report any bugs/traffic jams/weirdness so I can get those ironed out for the initial public release.
Managed to get a diesel rail tour working. It can sub in pretty much all of the BR era locos if you own them. Including the BR green 33 and 47.
Ahh. I was making my own timetable for TVL too, but you're a lot further on than I am I do have a freight WTT from 1989 if it helps.
Oh that would be awesome, I've just been guessing and using the existing timetable as reference with the freight. I'm assuming it's fairly heavy with freight traffic wise? Main issue I've had with TVL base version is how quiet it was.
Just checking in, had a couple of people testing the first version while I work out some of the substitution and timing issues. I'm planning on having the initial version released at the weekend. I'll be further developing it with more freight in the future however.
I'm looking forward to this, I really want to play more of the TVL, but I just dispise the 101 and the 31 hauled passenger services aren't great.
Not currently sorry, the Class 31 is integrated into the timetable. Including the cement wagons it comes with. It's not set as a layer, because things outside of the layer can't interact with things on the layer, and I'm using the cement wagons for shunting services as well.
Especially when the Cl.31 was just hauling a 'dead' 101. Certainly looking forward to this though! Keep up the awesome work!
These are the playable loco hauled services (16 of them). These use the new Blackpool 47s, and the class 31 can sub in. They also use the Blackpool coaches so they have the departure whistle. The bottom service is the only playable Intercity service (again using the new blackpool 47), it's not a long one, but it's the only one that goes to more than one station on the route. There is also a diesel rail tour that runs the length of the route, allowing pretty much any of the BR diesels to sub in. (Class 31, 33, 37, 40, 45, 47, 52).
Assuming nothing major crops up tomorrow, I plan on releasing the first version tomorrow evening/Saturday afternoon. There are currently 154 playable services, and I have managed to remove West Cornwall Local as a DLC requirement. I was able to accomplish what I wanted it for via substitution, so if you have it you will have more variety. While the passenger times are built from the 1989 timetable, the freight timings are very much fictional currently. They somewhat make sense, but aren't following the WTT. I do plan in the future to rework the timings and add more freight services based on the 1989 WTT that I received off a very helpful forum user here.

It's a great timetable. If you like the 142's and TVL, right up your street. Happy to have been involved in doing a bit of testing.
Just tried spawning on foot but this puts me in the original timetable as supplied by DTG any way around this? as I am a watcher as much as a driver....
Huh, I hadn't actually tried spawning in on foot. But yeah, it does seem to do that. I'm not really sure what would cause that.
Fair play to you for getting so far and sticking with it. I started to create a timetable on NTP but I just gave up as I'm not the most patient of people. Just a quick question, do you have any BR/IC HST's as AI going through Darlington? If not, any plans to? Would be great to see more activity in that area
There are Class 47s running all the AI IC services through Darlington currently. I'm not sure how to link a HST to a Creator Club livery, so currently it would have just been either in the GWE or the bright orange EMT liveries. If someone can make a IC liveried HST, or find me a guide on how to easily set it up, I'll include them. As I would love to see them in as well.
Looking at mod site another Created one has stated similar problem. The DTG created second timetables can be spawned into on foot. It's like the sim wants to revert to its native version when on foot selected for your timetable.
It is a great timetable from the the services I have done on it and does feel more how I expected TVL to be when I first bought it. As I said mate brilliant work.
Thanks for putting in the time to make this. Just reporting that when I started the Class 47 16:03 service out of Darlington, the 101 that was in the Darlington bay platform was clipping into the platform. Think this will instantly derail once it gets physics activated.
I'll get that sorted in the next version. Its because it's default built with the 142, and the AI likes to just drive into the buffers on the simulation if you don't change the default stopping point.
Not necessarily as the Class 142 cuts into the platform at Middlesbrough but didn’t derail. It looks as if stations on TVL were built with the platform edge too close to the track. If the Class 101 fouling was going to be a problem would do so on the original.
Thanks so much for making this. Really enjoyed a Pacer run from Saltburn to Darlington- and only ended up a minute late somehow. Looking forward to trying some or the freight services.
did a first look stream on my you tube channel Australia Worldwide Gaming and have to say im a big fan of the one congrats on the release and look forward to updates in Future cheers from The Aussie Don
