I just started playing the SIM and am wondering about a few things.

    1. Does water temperature, weather or time of day really matter?
    2. I found one channel on a lake that seemed to hold fish but I have yet to find any long points. Do they exist https://omegle.onl/ ?
    3. Does anyone know how accurate the bottom contours are to the real lakes? Lake Guntersville for example.
    4. Does line size matter?

Can't wait for spring to go do the real thing.

Well, the water temp in my opinion dosen't really do that much, however the time of day and the weather does matter, for example a shiny lure will work best in sunny conditions, for the 2 and 3 I don't have an anwser, but the line. It's not the size that matters, it's more of the type, you are gonna use fluorocarbon going after salmon - like fish and small stuf or when going carp fishing, you won't catch giants using braid as your main line for some reason. This game is tough sometimes and if you are starting out keep predator fishing only to american lakes full of predators, where you have a boat and can look for them, and keep bait fishing to european lakes, where there are fish that look for the bait. The european predators since some time don't bite that often, even on dead baits (at least for me) and it's very frustrating to try to catch them (at least for me). If you have a nice fishery nearby, just go fishing and have fun. I hope that helped.
