Hello. I'm new to TSW and I purchased TSW 2020. I want something newer but I'm reading how tsw 5 has a lot of bugs or some bugs. So, what tsw should I get that is a good one to play? What about tsw 4? I want something that I can get dlc's with. What say ye? Thx.
Ultimately get what you feel like but if you're desperate for direction, wait for the free upgrade when tsw6 releases and see if it's in a place you're happy with.
I also started with TSW 2020, back then on the PS4. A free update to TSW 6 will be released at the end of August. Until then, you can decide how much TSW interests you. So it's not worth buying an intermediate version now. As a PS5 player now, I can tell you that you don't always get to enjoy the full content right away, as optimizations are still being worked on. But it will be added later, and it will work. Until then, it's fine. The TSW series consists of a core and a lot of DLC, increasingly from third-party developers, of varying quality. Everything has bugs that are sometimes fixed quickly, soon, or not at all. That's unfortunately normal in such series. The forum here will help you evaluate what's acceptable for you. On the PS5, I personally have some really annoying graphical glitches and more or less inexplicable crashes, but it's within my limits. I'd say, with a few minor drawbacks, it's definitely playable, and you'll be able to overlook a lot of the issues. I would recommend it. So have fun with TSW 2020 until TSW 6 is released as a free upgrade in a few weeks, and then decide for yourself. There are tons of YouTube videos that give you a good insight into the DLC. Check them out. So don't rush into it; you have plenty of time, and you can choose whatever you like.
Welcome. I would like to feel again those special sensations I had when I met TSW2020 5 years ago. This is a huge game with a lot of downloadable content, if you want to have a big collection prepare your wallet. I recommend that to save as much as possible you wait for offers to become available, they are quite frequent and on older content they can reach 70-80% off. Last year, just before the release of TSW 5 I remember there was a great offer on the deluxe version of TSW 4. If they do the same this year I recommend you to buy it because you get 3 routes and other dlc at a ridiculous price. They might even discount the special edition which includes 9 routes. If I were you I would wait because there will be good opportunities to get a lot of content for little money and I think it's the best way to start with this game. After that you will know what kind of routes and in which countries you like the most and it will be easier for you to decide how to continue expanding your collection.
