Can we please see a more variety of engines other than the trash ALP46s. Like maybe add Comets, ALP45DPs and ALP45As. Can we also see the former diesel engines that used to run on the Northeast Corridor like the F40s, GP40FH, GP40s, PL42ACs. Like I hate how most American Routes only have 2 trains designated to the specific company. Some random engine and a cab car. Like thats it. Its not just for NEC like practically all routes. Dovetail please add a variety of engines
I don't think the alp46 is trash. Dtg just got a njt license earlier this year and released a route for it. Some patience is needed for more routes to appear. But some of your suggestions would be appropriate for a different section on njt where they regularly run.
Excellent idea overall and speaking of this These are better off on the RVL because they still run there with ALP-45DPs although ALP-45DPs are the main stay there because they are capable of running into New York Pen the diesel locomotives are banned from NY Penn
I'd personally like to see the HHP-8 or AEM-7 added. So that it isn't just ACS-64s and Acelas. DTG could easily use the already made Acela power car as a base for the HHP-8.
They've had the license for awhile, both from TSC and the fact that NJT allowed their logos in the creators club before they even had a route back on TSW2.
right and speaking of your locomotive in the profile picture the ALP-44. last batch ALP-44M 4424-4431 did operate the inaugural NY Penn trip from Dover via Exit 45 I-78 Summit back on June 10th 1996 with Comet III 5000 Comet IV 5244. Because the ALP-44 can deal with 25kv 60hz Morris & Essex Line August 1984 and 11kv 16.7-25hz PRR lines voltage to NY Penn
The Avelia Liberty trains should start operating sometime in 2024. We could see the new Amtrak trains in game later next year. Also, Siemens is working on new ALC-42Es that will run as both diesel and electric engines to replace the ACS-64s on the NEC. The engines will be paired with Siemens Venture Cars with either a pantograph car (for use on lines with overhead wires) or a battery car (for non-electrified or 3rd rail sections). On non-electrified Northeast US lines the ALC-42Es will run as diesel-electric locos. I'd like to see those on the NEC, too. Actually, I want Siemens Chargers in the game, too.
If we get PRR electrics, besides the GG1 (also an engine I want to see on this route), an E44/E44a in PRR, Penn Central, and Conrail liveries would be cool to see. The GG1s could also be sold with PC and Conrail liveries, as well as PRR.
