Announcement New Updated Forums Structure - 13th September 2023

Hello everyone,

As we approach the release of Train Sim World 4, we are restructuring our Train Sim World forums to better accommodate new areas of discussion, such as the PC Editor, as well as redefining existing areas for improved clarity and usability of these threads.

As a reminder, our Forums Conduct remains the same, as we want to continue creating a space that accepts newcomers to our simulators, as well as existing passionate users, to freely discuss all things to do with Train Sim World and railway enthusiasm in general.

Below is our new structure for the forums, which will begin to change over the next week, with an explanation of what types of content belong in each area.

Announcements
Locked threads of announcements for Train Sim World, Dovetail Games and our weekly RailfanTV Streaming Schedule.

Dovetail Live Article Discussion
Open threads for discussion on recently posted Train Sim World articles

General Discussion
The main area for Train Sim World discussion via viewing, commenting on or the creation of new threads

Player Feedback
A new space that will only contain threads dedicated to feedback for newly released content. These threads will be created by admins to centralise feedback in an official manner.

Troubleshooting & Guides

• Troubleshooting
  Renamed from ‘Technical Reports’.
  This section will include troubleshooting support and technical help, and act as an open space to submit your own reports of issues & bugs.
• Guides
  Renamed from ‘Getting Started'.
  This section will hold all our official and community guides for new and existing players to learn more.
• FAQ Pages
  Dedicated space to hold our Frequently Asked Question pages from our support site.

Suggestions
The Suggestions area isn’t changing; however, we will introduce new tags to better differentiate between topics.

Creators Club
Renamed from ‘Creation Centre’ to better align with the in-game branding.
This section will be specifically for Livery Designer, Scenario Planner, Formation Designer (when it is released) and anything from Creators Club and the Online Sharing Hub. The weekly screenshot competition will remain in this space, and we will introduce new monthly features.

PC Editor Discussion
The main space for discussion around the PC Editor, including sharing ideas and supporting other users learning the tool, as well as asking questions for our development teams to help answer.

Off-Topic
The classic off-topic section we all know and love.


As we roll out this new structure, you will find pinned threads that also help explain in more detail how to use each forum space, and what discussion we expect in them.
