Don't hold your breath as DTG have previously stated getting official access to NYC Subway routes and equipment for research purposes is nigh on impossible.
It would be great to see a TSW rendition of the NYC subway. It currently exists in OpenBVE and there is so much reference material out there from track maps of the system, signals, to track layouts for each station. Hopefully one day, the NYC subway becomes possible to create for TSW
OpenBVE gets away with it probably because it’s a non commercial venture and a very tiny user base compared to TSW. DTG also have to bear in mind, that while it might be possible to construct a NYC Subway route using third party reference material, they still need to get approval from MTA as regards licensing which would likely not be forthcoming. Publish and be damned would probably lead to MTA ripping up the current from what we have seen, fairly tense relationship so no more LIRR etc.
