    I've just started playing this again but with safety systems on is me or do they slow you down way to soon or for no reason at all.

    I can only advise you to drive without them at all

    Yea I'm still playing but turned them off

    You have to know the speed limits and understand what the signals mean. While you can't prevent every alarm, knowing the route helps minimize them

    There is a signal glitch when running from Trenton on the express tracks if your train has to stop at Metropark. You’ll get a 45mph cab signal reduction around New Brunswick station whether a train is ahead or not. Causing you to have to crawl at that speed for about 5 miles. I turn the safety systems off until I pass Metuchen. All other locations (like following a train into Penn station) is realistic.
