I'm planning to go to New York for Christmas at some point in the next few years. Does anyone know where I can sightsee.
Depends on what you want to do. I was mostly to see friends and do some gigs Staten Island Ferry is a good way to see the Statue of Liberty and Governers Island. Best advise is if you are not first to board at Manhatten go for the left hand side for Brooklyn views, then don't rush for the next boat back (most tourists will make a mad run for the boat due out a few mins after you dock), get the one after so you can be near the front of the boarding scrum and go for the left side again for Statue of Liberty, Jersey City and Ellis Island. Central Park is nice, especially around sunset. Times Square was just horrible. Think the worst of Leicester Square! There is a subway museum in Brooklyn, haven't been though. High Line was a nice way to spend a morning. Museum of Design was nice. Did a lot of walking and found Ghostbusters firehouse, Washington Square was interesting as was the Village. Lots of good and bad Street art. The Subway is GRIM, be prepared for how run down it is compared with other cities.
Those look amazing I heard the statue of liberty has a thing where you go in the crown now as well.
The Camera ones were much better than my budget 2017 Samsung I had at the time. I gather slots of the crown sell out months in advance, and other than that I don't think Liberty Island would be worth it. Nightlife wise I enjoyed LPR (incredible gig venue) and in Brooklyn loved Talon Bar (the Summon Club night might be a bit too 'interesting') and the Rookery was a nice way to spend a rained off day with friends.
