The Newry to Dublin Connolly railway line is one of the railway lines in Ireland. It is a cross border route which connects Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The route is 67.4 mi (108.4km) long. The line has a total of 17 stations. Including the Howth Branch there are 20 Stations. And is 4.0 miles long. This would make the route 71.4 mi (114.9km) long. IÉ 22000 Class (100mph) (160kmh) Runs on InterCity Services to Rosslare, Westport, Ballina, Cork, Galway and Sligo. They can sometimes operate the Enterprise service. Built 2007-2012. (Runs in 3, 4 and 5 coaches.) (5 coaches has first class)
The IÉ 29000 Class top speed is 75mph (120kmh) These are normally used on Commuter services to Drogheda, Dundalk, Maynooth and Newry. They sometimes work InterCity services to Rosslare, Sligo and Belfast.
NIR/IÉ 201 Class (102mph) (164kmh) (Limited to 90mph in service) and NIR/IÉ Enterprise Train (90mph) (Capable of speeds up to 100mph or 125mph) (160kmh or 200kmh) Each push-pull trainset consists of seven coaches and a 201 Class locomotive. The 28 carriages were delivered as four sets of seven but entered service as three sets of eight, with two locomotives from each operator. The coaches were manufactured by De Dietrich Ferroviaire, while the locomotives are from GM-EMD; ownership of the rolling stock is shared between both operators, with carriage maintenance by NIR and locomotives maintained by IE. The coaching stock is based on the Class 373 EMU stock used by Eurostar, with the interiors identical. The EMU stock is articulated and permanently coupled, but the Enterprise is ordinary coaching stock. Built 1994-1995 and 1996-1997.
