Does anyone have any idea when the next steam sale is inbound please? I’m toying with getting the new uk route.

I don’t want to buy tonight if there’s a sale cycle on the next service from st Pancras

You'll probably have to wait until mid to late June.

It might be a while until SEHS goes on sale. It's only been out a month and I think steam has a clause in the contract stating that new release can't go on sale for a set period of time after release.

Steam sometimes has a Spring Cleaning sale but it is later into the spring months, and I wouldn't expect SEHS to be more than 10% off anyway. As others have said, the Summer Sale is the next big event. However, it is possible that DTG will host their own sale between then and now, as they so often do.

    Cheers

I guess March Madness is the next sale.

That's the one. DTG will likely host a March Madness sale like they do every year. Keep an eye out on the Dovetail store for details within the first couple of weeks for March. The sale may come to steam after it finishes on the DTL store.

    Cheers

So I impulsed it and I'm having my first play through now from St Pancras.

When trying the tutorial the person wouldn't walk. Good start.
When I left St Pancras I wanted to check out the hotel and then saw this.

    Grass? Come on guys!

I'm only 5 mins in. I .l do love the Javelin though and still have 40 miles to go :)

Erm... I'm not sure what you were expecting from scenery that is not visible from any grounded perspective.

    Cheers

Just surprised me when the renaissance hotel 20m to the left is modelled accurately out of footfall too

Well the game features outside camera views where you obviously will be higher than ground level. They could've at least painted the ground with a paved texture...

I am not certain how that would impact the driver's or boom camera view whatsoever. The purpose of modelling King's Cross is to add to the visible skyline. Painting ground textures would neither further that goal nor would it improve the visual bareness of the street-level scenery. Time and effort adding details would be better spent on immediate trackside scenery.

    Cheers
