Hi there, today I would like to request a route for Train Sim World 3. This would be a Belfast Lanyon Place to Dundalk route. Stations are: 1: Lanyon Place 2: Botanic 3: City Hospital 4: Great Victoria Street (NIR only) 5: Adelaide 6: Balmoral 7: Finaghy 8: Dunmurry 9: Derriaghy 10: Lambeg 11: Hilden 12: Lisburn 13: Moira 14: Lurgan 15: Portadown 16: Scarva 17: Poyntzpass 18: Newry 19: Dundalk Rolling stock: NIR 201 Class Loco (Top speed of 102mph (164 km/h) although limited to 90mph (145 km/h) (Operates on the Dublin - Belfast Enterprise service) *although this route will only operate from Dundalk. Enterprise De Dietrich Set, Top speed of 90mph (145 km/h). This train operates the Belfast - Dublin Enterprise service *although this route will only operate from Dundalk. NIR 3000 Class, Top speed of 90mph (145 km/h) This train operates on all routes in Northern Ireland, but can also be used on the Enterprise service if the normal Enterprise train is unavailable. NIR 4000 Class, Top speed of 90mph (145 km/h) These trains are only used in Northern Ireland. IE 29000 Class, Top speed of 75mph (120 km/h) Can be used on Irish Rail Commuter & Intercity routes and on the Enterprise service.
Another train I would like to see is the IE 22000 Class. These trains have a top speed of 100mph (161 km/h) and can be used on all Irish Rail Routes, and the Dublin - Belfast Enterprise service if the usual Enterprise train is unavailable.
Routes: Portadown - Belfast, Newry - Belfast (NIR 3000 Class & NIR 4000 Class) Dundalk - Belfast (Enterprise, 29000 class, 22000 class). Local trains will call at all stations, with the Enterprise, 29000 Class & 22000 Class stopping at Dundalk, Newry, Portadown and Lanyon Place. Also, a good idea could be an extension to York Road Depot and Bangor for DLCs? *this is on 2 or 3 threads because I couldn’t fit 6 images on 1 thread.
The route is on AWS TPWS DSD Driver's Remainder Appliance to Dundalk which makes it easy for DTG to make in Train protection side but new Track Gauge Irish Gauge
I guess if DTG ever did an Irish route part of the main line from Belfast to Dublin the obvious choice. However I wouldn’t get your hopes up… how many payware Irish routes has TSC seen?
I have also contacted Translink & Irish Rail to check if they would be ok with being featured in the simulator.
A Dublin-Kildare route would be cool too if they wanted a different Irish route to the Dundalk line, although there’s nothing wrong with the Dundalk line either.
