So, given DTG's recent track record of reusing alot of locos in these loco packs that have appeared recently, why not suggest the ALP46A for the New York - Trenton route? The ALP46a's were ordered in 2008 after the original ALP46's. The ALP46a's have a higher top speed of 125mph instead of the 100mph of the original ALP46's. NJT ordered 27 of them and took option of 9 additional units, numbered 4629-4664. The 46a's also have newer tech in them, and output more power at rail at 7500hp vs the 7108 of the 46's. The NJT has 2 ALP46a's painted in special liveries. The 1st is 4636. In 2019 this loco was painted up in a Pennsylvania Railroad livery to celebrate the railroads 40th anniversary (Along side 2 other heritage units) The 2nd loco is 4609, the "Ride With Pride" loco. Only thing is this is a sponsored wrap, so DTG may not include it due to Hackensack Meridian Health paying for it. Given the use of the CSX SD40, the ATSF F7, the UP Heritage SD70ACe's, and the BNSF SD70ACe, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened at some point, and DTG sold it to try and populate the NYT timetable.....
The alp46a and alp46 are different from each. Different physics, sounds, modeling differences, so I don't think it would count as an gameplay pack loco dlc. There's many changes required for it. It would be a loco dlc like the acela or come with its own route and layer in. But I don't think think it fits the criteria of being a $5 enhancement pack dlc.
