Steam No Dtg Profile, No Reliable Game Saves

DTG and TSW community,

when saving the game (in TSW 6 without having my game profile linked to DTG, because why should I?), a file is created (e. g. TSWSaveGame_dfcf28d0734569a6a693bc8194de62bf.sav), but no option to pick up the played game in the main menu appears - most of the time, but not always.
What is the solution for this issue?
