I was going to leave feedback about dynamic weather in TSW6, but I noticed there is no thread dedicated to it in the feedback section. I just wanted to say, that its much better now. It definitely adds to the immersion. I used to switch it off right away to avoid the fog fest, but it makes sense to leave it on now.
It hasn’t changed though. Any better experience you’ve had is just pure chance. It’s always been a mix of good and bad.
Have you tried it multiple times or just for one run? While i enjoy runs mostly with the weather not changing anyways, i sometimes wish for the dynamic weather to work properly. If thats now the case, i will try to use it more often.
Actually I've used it quite a few times in the last few days. It wasn't just chance, it's definitely different than it was, and definitely better. Yeah, early on I decided to go custom weather because I did not have a good experience with dynamic. It would be like a sunny afternoon in California, and all of the sudden be thick fog which would stay for the rest of the route. It didn't seem natural and was un-immersive IMO. Plus it's nice to actually see the scenery. I'm not saying it's perfect now, but I'd say its usable, and pretty damn cool actually.
Maybe I will try switching it on again. I was always turning it off because of the earlier behaviour (first the biblical lightning storms, then the fact that pretty much 10 min into any run was pouring rain - maybe realistic for UK but not Southern California, lol).
^ Cool. I'm interested to know if you have a good experience. For California routes Id probably start with the "clear" preset. Might get a little rain, but more likely you'll just have some clouds roll in.
I used the dynamic weather in California on two separate occasions and both times I got heavy thunderstorms. Both runs were for over an hour.
