Hello all, TrainGeek08 here, and today I am suggesting the North Clyde Line between Helensburgh Central, Balloch and Milngavie to Airdrie and Springburn, this route would be a network-style route with various different termini at the western and eastern ends of the route :)

    Route Information:
The North Clyde Line (defined by Network Rail as the Glasgow North Electric Suburban line) is a suburban railway in West Central Scotland. The route is operated by ScotRail. As a result of the incorporation of the Airdrie–Bathgate rail link and the Edinburgh–Bathgate line, this route has become the fourth rail link between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

    Route Map:

(The North Clyde Line is in dark blue on this map)

    Stock included in base route:

The British Rail Class 334 'Juniper' in ScotRail livery

And the British Rail Class 320 'Dusty Bin' in ScotRail livery

    Training (In Training Center):

    Class 320 Introduction
    Class 334 Introduction

    Scenarios:

    Scottish Juniper: (Difficulty - 2)
Drive this Class 334 from Airdrie to Glasgow Queen Street Low Level calling at all stations as you are bound for Milngavie

    Balloch Tripper: (Difficulty - 1)
Drive this Class 320 from Balloch to Dalmuir and then drive another Class 320 back up to Balloch

Dust the Gavie: (Difficulty - 3)
Drive this Class 320 in foggy conditions from Springburn to Milngavie, be careful as it is rush-hour so there will be reds you have to pay attention to

    Juniper Diversion: (Difficulty - 2)
A Class 334 has broken down at Singer, drive this Class 334 from Glasgow Queen Street Low Level to Helensburgh Central going via Garscadden to get to Dalmuir

In as One, Out as Two: (Difficulty - 2)
Drive this Class 334 ECS from Yoker Depot to Dalmuir where another 334 is already parked in the platform and you will take the pair to Airdrie, where another driver will continue the service to Edinburgh Waverley

    Timetable:

Here is the May 2019 Working Timetable for this route:

    ScotRail Special: (Difficulty - 3)
ScotRail are running a special train for charity and two Class 318s are the booked traction, drive the Class 318 from Dumbarton Central to Helensburgh Central, then back to Dumbarton, then to Balloch, then to Dalmuir, there is a snow storm due at any given moment, so watch out for a weather change

    Bin Rescue: (Difficulty - 2)
A Class 320 has broken down at Easterhouse, so drive a Class 318 from Yoker Depot to Easterhouse, collect the failed unit, and drag it back to Yoker Depot

    (Principal) Stations:

    Airdrie:

Airdrie railway station is a railway station serving the town of Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and is served by trains on the North Clyde Line, 11 miles (18 km) east of Glasgow Queen Street.

    Springburn:

Springburn railway station serves the Springburn district of Glasgow, Scotland. The station is 1+1⁄4 miles (2.0 km) north of Glasgow Queen Street (High level) station on the Cumbernauld Line and is a terminus of the Springburn branch, a spur from Bellgrove station, on the North Clyde Line.

    Glasgow Queen Street LL:

Platforms 8 and 9 comprise the Low Level station and it is the most central stop on the North Clyde Line of the Glasgow suburban electric network. Trains run frequently between Helensburgh on the Firth of Clyde, Balloch and suburban Milngavie to Airdrie, on the eastern edge of the Greater Glasgow conurbation and onward to Edinburgh via Bathgate and Livingston. The line is electrified; the fleet operating this route are Class 318s, Class 320s and Class 334s. Services on the West Highland Line to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig occasionally use the Low Level station when the main route into the High Level is unavailable due to engineering work. As of September 2014, the Fort William to London Euston overnight sleeper also calls here instead of Westerton in the north-western suburbs; this eliminates the need for those travelling between Glasgow & Fort William and between Glasgow & London Euston on the sleeper to change there (alighting only southbound/boarding only northbound) - the only locomotive-hauled train to call here. The Low Level line between High Street, Queen Street and Charing Cross was built before the Glasgow Subway, making it the oldest underground railway in the city. In May–June 2014, work was carried out to redevelop the Low Level platforms, which now have new compliant seating.

    Milngavie:

Milngavie railway station serves the town of Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, near Glasgow in Scotland. The station is sited 9 miles 35 chains (15.2 km) from Glasgow Queen Street, measured via Maryhill. The station is managed by ScotRail, who also operate all services at the station, along the North Clyde and Argyle lines. Its principal purpose today is as a commuter station for people working in Glasgow city centre. The station itself is a category B listed building.

    Dalmuir:

Dalmuir railway station is a railway station serving the Dalmuir area of Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It is a large, five-platform interchange between the Argyle Line, North Clyde Line and West Highland Line. The station is very close to the Dalmuir drop lock on the Forth and Clyde Canal.

    Dumbarton Central:

Dumbarton Central railway station serves the town of Dumbarton in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. This station is on the West Highland Line and the North Clyde Line, 15+3⁄4 miles (25.3 km) northwest of Glasgow Queen Street.

    Balloch:

Balloch railway station is a railway station serving the town of Balloch in Scotland. The station is a western terminus of the North Clyde Line, sited 20 miles 38 chains (33.0 km) northwest of Glasgow Queen Street, measured via Singer and Maryhill.

    Helensburgh Central:

Helensburgh Central railway station (Scottish Gaelic: Baile Eilidh Meadhain) serves the town of Helensburgh on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde, near Glasgow, Scotland. The station is a terminus on the North Clyde Line, sited 24 miles 31 chains (39.2 km) from Glasgow Queen Street (High Level), measured via Singer and Maryhill. Passenger services are operated by ScotRail on behalf of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport.

    Points of Interest (POI):

    Monkland Canal:

The Monkland Canal was a 12+1⁄4-mile-long (19.7 km) canal designed to bring coal from the mining areas of Monklands to Glasgow in Scotland. In the course of a long and difficult construction process, it was opened progressively as short sections were completed, from 1771. It reached Gartcraig in 1782, and in 1794 it reached its full originally planned extent, from pits at Calderbank to a basin at Townhead in Glasgow; at first this was in two sections with a 96-foot (29 m) vertical interval between them at Blackhill; coal was unloaded and carted to the lower section and loaded onto a fresh barge. Locks were later constructed linking the two sections, and the canal was also connected to the Forth and Clyde Canal, giving additional business potential.

    Riverside Museum:

The Riverside Museum (replacing the preceding Glasgow Museum of Transport) is a museum in the Yorkhill area of Glasgow, Scotland, housed in a building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with its River Clyde frontage at the new Pointhouse Quay. It forms part of the Glasgow Harbour regeneration project. The building opened in June 2011, winning the 2013 European Museum of the Year Award. It houses many exhibits of national and international importance. The Govan-Partick Bridge, which will provide a pedestrian and cycle path link from the museum across the Clyde to Govan, is set to be completed in 2024.

    Yoker Depot:

Yoker railway station serves the district of Yoker, Scotland. The station is served by ScotRail as part of the SPT network, on the Argyle and North Clyde Lines. It is the nearest railway station to the Renfrew Ferry on the north side of the River Clyde.

    River Clyde:

The River Clyde (Scottish Gaelic: Abhainn Chluaidh, pronounced [ˈavɪɲ ˈxl̪ˠuəj], Scots: Clyde Watter, or Watter o Clyde) is a river that flows into the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. It is the ninth-longest river in the United Kingdom, and the second-longest in Scotland. It runs through the major city of Glasgow. Historically, it was important to the British Empire because of its role in shipbuilding and trade. To the Romans, it was Clota, and in the early medieval Cumbric language, it was known as Clud or Clut. It was central to the Kingdom of Strathclyde (Teyrnas Ystrad Clut).

Bring it on to the game sadly it's a TSC Rivet Games route which meant they will try remaking it for TSW 4 with the same glitches of LZN Rhb Arosa & Bernina Lines Cornish Main Line St Austell Penzance and Edinburgh Glasgow via Falkirk High routes. I wonder which 3rd party developer would you want to make this TSC route for TSW 4.

Yeah, unfortunately Rivet were responsible for the TSC version but give this to JT or ATS, then it will be good as new :)

Thank you for telling me about that I wonder if JT or ATS add in class 385 here if yes one can compare that to the Rivet Version. You might need Argyle line Milngavie trips to be playable on 385s if the Milngavie branch is included

I mean you would use the Rivet 385 unless JT or ATS wanted to make a second 385, which I don't see a purpose of since it is in game already, but when Rivet get around to updating the sounds on the 385, then there wouldn't be a need for another developer to make another 385 ;)
