Posted this suggestion today too. Worth pointing out to people unfamiliar with line that these stations dont all run consecutively. The route has many branches. Great for timetable variety and different scenarios. An incident on the Westerton-Singer section could mean all services diverted via the section via Jordanhill/Clydebank. There used to be a diagram that uncoupled from a 6 car to a 3 car at Milngavie after the AM peak. Later in the afternoon another diagram would come up and couple onto the 3 cars left sitting at Milngavie as it was going to operate the evening peak out of Edinburgh. Lots of different terminal points on the route. Helensburgh/Balloch, Dumbarton Central, Dalmuir, Garscadden for the depot etc.
Excellent idea and my question is this does your route intersection with Cathcart Circle or not? If so these trains for this route can layer onto Glasgow Cathcart Circle provided both are linked to each other.
The north Clyde Line and the fire circle are the two Scottish routes that I really really want in tsw2
No intersection. The North Clyde/Argyle Lines serve Glasgow Central and Queen St low level platforms. Tunnels that go right underneath the City Centre.
So you mean like a German S-Bahn Frankfurt Am Main Berlin Hbf (Formerly Berlin Leherte Bahnhof) and München Hbf using the lower track tunnels to bypass the terminating Stub tracks. Does the Class 320 & 318 Mk3 HST Coach shell based operate on this route and Cathcart Circle or not?
1) It's nothing like the S-Bahn, it's a regular railway with a short underground section. 2) I reccommend you stop pointing out the 320/318 being similarly shaped to the MK3s, thats the only similarity and it's creating a false impression. 3) Both trains operate limited services on the Circle, with the 320s arriving after when the route is set.
