The line from Halwill Junction to Padstow was heavily used in the summer months with tourist trains to the coast, as well as having it's own section of the Atlantic Coast Express. the route was just short of 50 miles long, and had 13 stations along it's course The line was closed in 2 stages, with Halwill to Wadebridge closing on the 3rd October 1966, with Wadebridge to Padstow staying open up until the 28th January 1967. Proposed Rolling Stock LSWR T9 'Greyhound' Operated the local services before DMU's were introduced in the mid 60's Southern Region Maunsell Coaches Bulleid 'West Country' class in BR Green livery + Atlantic Coast Express headboard BR Mk1 in Southern Green livery Beattie 2-4-0 tank + BR Standard wagons for freight between Wadebridge and Padstow + shunting in the yards at all stations.
The line closed in 1967 with the Beeching Axe, so a current era wouldn't be possible. I don't know whether the line has first generation DMUs on it though
