Quote North Wales Coast Line: Crewe - Holyhead Route (TfW) Enhanced 2024 Requires: https://store.steampowered.com/app/...Wales_Coast_Line_Crewe__Holyhead_Route_AddOn/ This project is a rework of the 2022 release of the DTG North Wales Coast Line: Crewe - Holyhead Route (TfW) route. It has been achieved using a combination of railway publications, cab view video footage and Google Earth. The route now features bi-directional signalling between Flint and Rhyl and also Llandudno Juntion and Conwy, up to date track speeds (using the late 2024 sectional appendix) along with updated signals, siding removals / changes and a few track corrections to help you achieve more out of your scenario building. A selection of Quick Drive scenarios in both directions and from multiple locations are included to get you started with exploring the route updates. I will also be rewriting all original DTG scenarios for the route - these will be uploaded when the route is finalised. A full list of enhancements is shown below.... 1. Updated track speeds along the main line route. 2. Signalling upgrades including bi-directional signalling in the correct areas. 3. New junctions added at Flint, Mostyn and Rhyl (for bi-directional signalling). 4. Holywell Junction removed - siding is out of use and overgrown. 5. Updates to track directions - you can now leave P4 at Chester heading towards Shotton. 6. Missing stop boards added to platforms, new ones added on bi-directional sections. 7. Whistle board changes and level crossing upgrades. 8. Missing foot crossings inserted where locations are known. 9. Track marker additions (no originals of these have been removed). 10. Track and platform alterations at Rhyl for bi-directional signalling. 11. Removal of redundant sidings at Abergele and Pensarn. 12. Additional bi-directional signalling from Llandudno Junction to Conwy - Up line only. 13. Minor signalling alterations between Bangor and Holyhead. 14. Vegetation added to out of use sidings in various locations. As an additional bonus, using more cab view footage, the line from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno has also been overhauled with corrected speed zones, updated signalling, full barrier level crossings and corrected milepost locations. Whilst I have attempted to replicate signals to match what they are in the real world, it has not been possible to do this 100% in the sim because they simply don't exist as a possible signal to use in the route builder. This update to the route is essentially completed - it will remain 'non final' in the library whilst tested by other users. Upon fixing any issues discovered - it will then be made final and available for scenario uploading into the steam library. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3384874833
The more PR the better I guess so I've put it in the Lobby. Haven't looked at CC subforum, mostly only for browsing screenshots
oh thats awesome. I am considering picking up the north wales coast line during this sale. Can try this one out too now!
Just be aware as far as I could see there are no scenarios for it yet and it's not QD enabled, so you won't be able to drive it out of the box so to speak.
I have done quick drives for it, not sure why they wouldn't be showing up. I also subscribed to the route on another PC and the QD's showed up.
Ahh OK, I will check again later but the route didn't show up for me, it might be an issue my end then.
Theoretically it's not possible to publish a route on the workshop without at least one quick drive scenario. Theoretically.
