    Intro:
The NYMR is an iconic railway in the North Yorkshire moors. It is a railway that has appeared in many films. Like Harry Potter, Indiana Jones and Mission Impossible. And I think it really deserves a place in TSW, especially after the steam routes being introduced. This route is 24 miles (39km).
    Here's the map:

We need another heritage railway, 1 isn't enough.

Yes we really need more heritage railways, the North Yorkshire Moors would be a great choice. My other top choices would be:
    - The East Lancs Railway
    - The Severn Valley Railway
    - The Bluebell Railway
    - The Great Central Railway (it could make a great release to tie into their re-unification efforts).

    Please more heritage railways!!

Nice suggestion but any heritage railway is going to impose the dreaded 25MPH speed limit which is the main reason, despite the beautiful rework, I don’t really drive WSR very much.

Though NYMR does have a few more challenging gradients.

It’s also a given we wouldn’t get a new steam loco. Would be a nice route to bring in a tank engine. And of course ideal place to drop in a Class 25.

There might also be licensing issues. I created a semi fictional version years ago for TSC (then Railworks) called Heartbeat Moor. Later on I think someone decided to do a more formal version and may have run into issues with the NYMR certainly as regards depicting their branding.

Another option might be to set it in BR days pre closure. Not sure what the line speed was then but presumably at least 40 MPH.

The could always go for the Great central railway, they have a line speed of around 60 mph in preservation as it's maintained up to mainline standards.....

I wouldn’t get too excited. It’s an independent route editor project, by no means official DLC at all. For it to be released DTG still need to update the editor so the route can be cooked without the unofficial mod and for it to be published through them would imagine licensing would need to be sorted with the real heritage railway.

Yes to heritage lines. I'd like to add one more from the UK: Ffestiniog in Wales.

The GCR still have to operate normal trains no faster then 25mph. They are allowed to run up to 60mph when being used as a testing ground
