Yeah I mentioned on the dev stream comments the other night I quite like this area but there's not really much way at the moment to interact with it. Who knows, there could be something in the next update as Matt was saying they had slipped a few more improvements in for when the 52 comes out including shorter coach consists for the 09 etc etc
Could add a scenario wait with the 52 at the mainline signal for a passing hst. Then cross onto the WSR, and on to Minehead.
This was suggested right back when the pre-release devstream was done all those months ago and we were told that it wouldn't be implemented. Given the HST is overcomplex for what's needed they would be better off introducing a "slimeline" version for passing traffic in the background rather than using a driveable consist, but then knowing people on here they'd want to run from the main DLC onto the mainline and want to drive the thing...
4 coach short set would fit in nicely. No buffet, less coaches, could be put in gala scenarios. If it had to be driveable (meaning it would also be available for any future Westcountry route) then could insert into service as a stock move. Laira to St Philips Marsh? Theres a cardiff Taunton service coming soon isnt there? (Castle class). Could add a twice daily EWS//DB class 66 light engine move. I imagine if for some reason, out of curiosity or trophy hunting perhaps, someone chose this service. The description would have to be clear. Cardiff to Taunton - mainline passing service only. Or for ease (not needing proper service info) Laira to SPM passing stock move. DB 66 could run light or in convoy? Exeter NY to Westbury light engine passing. How could it work? Starts at signal north east or south west of juntion- drive past junction. Game kicks player off/or completes service in motion once hitting an objective marker on leaving playable area. Much the way services west of Reading do. If were to find yourself still in the cab after departure.
